Don't fight Gents .

Hopefully, it will be processed in couple of months. Once they finish with refugees ,they will process the backlog . In slow phase though.

If you guys read July , June threads application are being processed these days. In 18 month time period.

changing the processing time does not make sense because they are actually taking 18 months not 16 if you guys noticed.

MP can not do much except making queries in behalf of you. I contacted my local my he got back to me in a week. When I spoke to him he seems to look helpless . I can feel nervousness in his voice when I spoke to him over the phone.

Please do not make your own assumptions. No one will help us neither MP or Immigration minister. They are aware of everything they will only do such thing which make the famous and better than previous Government.

SO in short Good time is coming on march or April.

I am sure all is well.....but there is no harm to contact MP .....

That sounds something good, can you please tell me how do I contact my MP? I am in my home country now so how do I find my MP??

Unfortunately this only applies to those still living in Canada. http://www.lop.parl.gc.ca/ParlInfo/compilations/houseofcommons/memberbypostalcode.aspx?Menu=HOC

Looking at June 2014 applicants I believe 16 months of processing applies to them. It seems cic recently finalized up to June 2014 and 16 months are what they had to get decisions made, and hence the update (of 16 months).
July/August/Sept/Oct 2014 will be more than 16 months for sure.

P.s. MubinSultan please do not reply n' attack.

I'm June applicant, no 2nd review (recommended pass), from a boring (no security risk), visa-exempt country and I'm way past 18 months. In fact my medical will expire in 7 weeks...

yep me 2 , june applicant. 18 months n running :(

They are playing with our lives ! ! it was 13 month then 14 now it is 16, as we are reaching close to the processing time, they extends the time ! !

its is depicts the historical game snakes and ladders , the die rolls and we get to bottom

No one can assume their personal processing times according to everyone else's. There are people who applied in September 2014 who have already started receiving their COPR in the mail, and there are people who applied in July/August who are still waiting for medicals. It all depends on each individual case and if you supplied all the correct information and documentation. My boyfriend and his friend applied on the exact same date in September 2014. His friend called immigration 2 weeks ago looking for updates and they gave him the run around like usual and gave him a hard time making it seem like there was a problem with his application, then low and behold a week later he received his COPR in the mail and landed yesterday, which means his was processed in 16 months, and my boyfriend is still waiting for his papers in the mail *fingers crossed they come this month*. Calling immigration does nothing but frustrate people more. Stop getting yourselves and everyone else worked up with "assumed" information. The website says 16 months, that was updated on December 23, until it changes to 18 months just stay positive and hope for the best!
