New Processing time seems unreal

It clearly means they will never process our files, final hopes have gone after they update new processing time

some points to note:
-- Its been a big mystery that processing time is counted from application date or AOR, all applicants have been questioning call centre but they did not mention anything & no clarity on new processing time.
-- Rest categories have options under processing time to view their file status whereas CEC has question symbol. When we click that, it shows process may delay more and showing possible reasons
-- My 16 months are already over, and I`m an October applicant. What about July, Aug, Sept applicants. They finished 16 months long back
-- August first week guys got their MR in April. We are now in January 2016, so no news since 8 months.
-- All different answers from Call centre, lately somebody got to hear that that old program is closed so they do not know the timeline
-- BOWP rules changed so that will directly affect all applicants when eligibility will not pass
-- Lastly, they could finish process long back if they wished to but did not. So it clearly means they will never process our backlog files.

Is there anything we can do? Tried news paper article, petition, contacting MP, writing to Liberal party.. & still being victims.
Anything does actually work & we get Permanent Residence?? Please help to take some effective steps. I believe its not our right but privilege but it is everything to my life since years.
Please share your opinion, if you too are facing a lot of problems.

They are just playing with our lives ! ! they don't want to show clarity ! don't think so they will process it,

16 month from AOR or from receive, if we consider from receive, we should have got our PR till now, if its from AOR, lest assume it is ending on March, if we reach to March month, they will increase processing time to 18 month, so can't trust , they are inviting tons of syrian, but can't finish 4000 applications , such a L

Stay positive guys, I think the update is a good sign that things will be starting to move

Try not to have such a negative outlook! It doesn't help your application, just have faith. I honestly don't think it's anything we didn't know already. The new year will bring us good news

I know it's really disheartening but cic updates do demonstrate that the program is very much still open for our old applications. And just think, once we have our PR we will look back on this time and realize the wait was all worth it, however frustrating it may seem.

I think you guys also right to Liberal Govt (info@....). ..... They seems supportive just mention it to expedite the process who are already in line

That sounds something good, can you please tell me how do I contact my MP? I am in my home country now so how do I find my MP??

Unreal or not, now it's 2016 and it's a fact that the old 2014 applications are really old. I am not going to hope that cic is interested in prioritizing clearing out old applications. Doing so doesn't politically benefit them in the way of demonstrating how high-efficient they are by completing many new applications in 2016.

Hopefully, it will be processed in couple of months. Once they finish with refugees ,they will process the backlog . In slow phase though.

If you guys read July , June threads application are being processed these days. In 18 month time period.

changing the processing time does not make sense because they are actually taking 18 months not 16 if you guys noticed.

MP can not do much except making queries in behalf of you. I contacted my local my he got back to me in a week.When I spoke to him he seems to look helpless . I can feel nervousness in his voice when I spoke to him over the phone.

Please do not make your own assumptions. No one will help us neither MP or Immigration minister. They are aware of everything they will only do such thing which make the famous and better than previous Government.

SO in short Good time is coming on march or April.

My friend visited his office few times and then contact him via email...I am sure but you can google MP of your city / town
