I called awhile ago and asked a rep, but I wanted to check with anyone who has done this, as we all know how (not!) reliable CIC reps can be.
My husband (the applicant) had his passport about to expire. We went to the Costa Rican embassy in Ottawa and he got a new one. I know I need to send that info into CIC now.
The CIC rep sent me this email about how to send them the info:
Update Personal Information - CPC-Mississauga
To update your personal information while your sponsorship application is in process, you can notify us by email.
An update in your personal information could include:
A change in marital status;
The birth of a child;
Criminal charges against you;
A change of employer;
Etc.
In your email, please provide the Sponsor’s:
Name;
Date of birth; and
UCI Number/Application Number.
However, the "email" link provided (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-after.asp), when you click on it doesn't seem to give an email address. And it seems to be geared only towards address changes??
Can anyone that was in a similar position confirm if you emailed this info (and if so to what email address?) or if you physically mailed it in??
