new law changes from 4years to 3 years residency.

i am new here...i heard from many people that for cititzenship residency criteria is changed from 4yrs to 3 yrs in last 5years.
anybody has some recent information about it...

Remember that if this law passes, there will be a period before it is implemented. This exact same thing happened in reverse 3-4 years ago when it changed from 3 to 4 years: everyone was aghast at how fast the parliamentary process moved, once it began, and then largely relieved when implementation was delayed for around 16 months (or so -- I think it passed in Jan-Mar of 2014, and then took effect in June of 2015).

it will only benefit those who're newcomers in last 1-2 yrs and the future applicants.
Everyone else pretty much is qualifying on 4/6 rule and useless for them to wait for the 3/5.

Expect this to be very slow....its not a priority for the feds

Firstly, my idea doesn't matter. Of course it CAN be law in 2017.

Second, when it's law doesn't matter either -- what matters is the implementation. That was my point.
