New job while on implied status with expired SIN

Hello dear all,

I have an urgent question,
I just accepted a job offer and my PGWP and SIN are expired.
I applied to extend my permit since I was eligible for 3 years ad due to passport validity, I received only 2 years.
Now I am on implied status and supposed to start working next week. what should I do? Is it legal o work and get paid on implied status and with expired SIN!

I appreciate any help and any suggestions.

Not sure your new employer will be willing to take you on if you have an expired SIN. It would be one thing if you were staying with your current employer. Have you discussed this matter with your new employer? If not, you need to do that as soon as you can.
