Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi all, yesterday I submitted my documents and got my first AOR. This was at about 9am in the morning.

Then at about 4pm the recruitment agent who organized a job interview for me the week before called to inform me that the company offered me the job which I subsequently accepted.

Do I need to inform CIC of this? Anyone else been in this position before?

I think it shouldn't effect your application but it will be a good idea to inform CIC. When you receive and sign the offer letter, you can submit a scan of it to CIC via CSE: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

Hope this helps. Good luck!

This has no effect on your application; technically, you are not even required to let CIC know of this change, since it has no affect whatsoever on your eligibility for Express Entry. However, as with all other steps in this process, it is best to be safe rather than sorry- I encourage you to send them a CIC with your Employment Letter, notifying them of a change in your employment status, and offering to furnish them with any more information necessary that they may request.
