NEW FSW 2014 PROGRAM

guys , my consultant says that FSW 2014 is going to open in couple of months ..

is this true ?? because as far as i know, CIC published their policy regarding FSW 2015 couple of months ago. so, i don't think there will be any FSW 2014 program ..

i could not make it into FSW 2013 and i am eagerly waiting for up coming FSW program ..

plz share if anyone have any information regarding new up coming FSW program ..

As per CIC website, applications will be accepted through 'EOI Process' only. Please have a glance at this website.

By the way, why you couldn't make it in 2013?

This paragraph makes it clear that there'll be no 2014 program.


The 2014 Immigration Levels Plan makes way for Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to transition to this new system in January 2015 by continuing to reduce backlogs across the board. This will enable Canada to begin using EOI to identify the best candidates from day one.

I don't think CIC will open FSWP in 2014, there are still nearly 1500 space open from last year.

I also don't think EOI will be ready by 2015.

I'm also eagerly awaiting for NOC RENEWAL for FSW 2014.... I hope so...
The cic website does say about the EOI SYSTEM being planned in 2014 only.. Planning can be done when the old conventional system in place at 2014 and might come to use in 2015... My understanding goes like this...

Don't know what going to come... Whatever we got to wait till May 2014 for any news...

Please read the link posted by shrinivas1980 above. There should be no doubt after reading that about the next intake. Says clearly that the 2014 program will make way for the transition and there will be EOI starting Jan 2015.

Not the 2014 program, the "2014 Immigration Plan".

Page 10, second paragraph: "It is envisioned that such a modernized system could be
implemented towards the end of 2014."

So yes, it is possible that there will be a FSWP 2014 by the end of the year.

As per my info. about the new EOI system, I concluded that the proccessing time wil be about 8 monthes.
If compared to the old system which is in avarage 16 monthes this will approx. equalizes the time of acceptance, so even if it is been opened in 2014 or not there will not be major changes on our plans :

Even I heard from my consultant that the program would open up in May'14 and this time the number of applications would be more as pre 2008 applications were returned.

Any idea / information you guys have on this??

Dear SM,

Very unlikely FSW will reopen in May 2014. Sorry, but this is a fact....at least 99% I am sure. Nevertheless, EOI-2015 will be a better option than FSW-May 2014 as EOI is going to be a very fast process, probably.
