Got a mail for passport request today(16.08.2017).
But has approved TRV and not study permit.

I don't get you. Why do you mean by 'But has approved TRV and not study permit'? Are you referring to another person? Does that person already have Temporary Resident Visa (Visitor's visa) but no study permit? If so, is it a multiple entry visa? Kindly answer my question because I already have a TRV and applied on 21st July but haven't received any update from the CIC.

I hv also applied for pg course in lambton college and filed on 20th july.. no response yet...

I hv passed my 10th with 68%
12th in arts with 75%
Diploma in computer engineering with 78%(3 backlogs)
Degree( btech) comp. Science n engg. With 82%(backlog in maths)
Hv got 6.5 overall IELTS score; unfortunately 5.5 in reading for which m scared
I hv applied for cloud computing for big data (post graduation) course in lambton college n filed my visa application on 20th july still waiting for result

Plz tell me that is 5.5 in reading is matter of worry or how many chances are there to got visa or rejection

Apparently, student visa is a type of TRV so having a TRV is a good as having a student visa, using which you can enter Canada and get study permit issued at the airport.

I GOT 5.5 IN WRITING OVERALL 6 ALSO MY MINIMUM REQUIREMENT IS OVERALL 6 NOT LESS THAN 5.5

But my requirement iz 6.5 nt less thn 6 bcz m graduted. I hv also checked guidelines in which its stated that for post graduation courses band 6.5 is required not less than 6 for which m scared

10th in 2010 CBSE - 5.2 CGPA
12th in 2012 CBSE - 48 % with Commerce
BCA in 2016 Distance Education from Shobhit University - 63 % no backlogs
NIIT finished in 2016 - 8/10 CGPA
First IELTS - 6 overall ( L-6.5,R-6,W-6,S-5.5)
Second IELTS Attempt - 6 overall ( L - 6.5 , R - 5.5 , W - 6 , S - 6)

How many chances ? , will i get offer letter and visa ?

Apparently, student visa is a type of TRV so having a TRV is a good as having a student visa, using which you can enter Canada and get study permit issued at the airport.

I hope you are right! I've my Canadian TRV valid till 2024. However, I'm allowed to stay only up to 6 months per year or entry. That's the restriction for everyone. I already visited Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal last year. So, I hope it makes my case for Student visa stronger. Besides Canada, I've been to several countries such as the USA and Australia. If I go by your statement, I should be getting my study permit without any issue. In addition to Canadian TRV, I hold US B2 Visa till 2025.
