Hello readers,

Has anyone travelled from New Delhi to Toronto after 22nd Feb especially residents of any other area than Delhi/NCR who took the PCR test from a hospital or lab other than Delhi/NCR.

Recently someone travelled from India and has posted her 19 minutes VLOG on YouTube.

The information provided in this video about the pre-departure checks at New Delhi airport has got me thinking. It mentions that the airlines at New Delhi airport are denying the passengers to board the flight if the Covid-19 test was taken from outside Delhi/NCR.

I went through the following steps to verify this information but nowhere I was able to cross-check the information provided in this video.

Can someone please help me with this request?

a) Went to Travel.gc : https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/india
b) Selected "Health" tab
c) Scrolled down to "Medical Services and Facilities" and clicked on "Local Covid-19 testing facilities"
d) This took me to the official webpage of "Indian Council of Medical Research" - https://covid.icmr.org.in/index.php/testing-facilities
e) THE ICMR link has all the approved Covid-19 testing labs

They may have been denying labs they were unfamiliar with because some are using fraudulent tests. Would stick to well known large testing centres throughout India and you should be fine. Also make sure it is a PCR test since many are still only getting rapid tests.

I looked at the district hospital on ICMR and it is on the approved list. My father will check tomorrow if they are doing the Molecular test. Still hoping to receive a first-hand experience from someone about this.
