Hey all,

So our situation has changed, resulting in us possibly having to move back to Australia permanently. If so, we wouldn’t be moving back until November/December. My question is, if we withdraw our application (which has been processing since Sep 2017), will my husband still be able to work in the time between now and when we need to leave Canada? Or will withdrawing the PR application result in his work permit being void also?

Hey guys I know this is NDVO 2018 applicants but I hope this helps just to understand the duration of the whole process at this time

Final list of dates:

Application received: June 9th, 2017
Aor2: Sept 18th, 2017
BGC in process status change: feb 27, 2018
DM and Pre-arrival email: May 11th, 2018
PPR: May 14th, 2018
Passport dropped off at local VFS: May 15,2018
Passport dispatched from Delhi: May 22, 2018
Passport received through blue dart: May 24
Ticket booked for: May 30th, 2018

In regards to status changes: our gckey kept stating that additional documents were required this whole time.... i haven’t checked it now but i do know that till we got dm it was saying we need more documents, even after receiving notes it hadn’t changed. BGC status changing doesn’t mean you will get dm after three days lol found that out the hard way. I know everyone asks what to say when landing process is going on and how much money to bring etc. According to my representative, you don’t need to bring a minimum amount it’s whatever you want. Gold you can bring it they’ll ask you about your valuables etc you can tell them. There is no maximum amount allocated that you can bring. Questions he said usually they don’t ask, if they do it’s about the spouse, where they work, where you are going to stay, who is coming to pick you up pretty basic stuff.

Just a humble request, i know people start jumping down throats due to Frustration, but please try to understand that maybe they don’t have anyone near them who they can share their feelings with and this might be the only outlet. This forum really helped me stay somewhat sane this is a long process and it takes a village to get you through this...shout out to Upkar Singh thanks for always helping me!
Hello Sir,
I want to know do you have send photographs of your marriage or any kind of videos required by visa officer in New Delhi

Hi! I think your husband will still be able to work irrespective of his PR application getting withdrawn.

Guys, I would really appreciate if you help me here..
I have no idea about how spousal sponsorship works and time it takes at different stages..
On behalf of my brother i want to know how much time does it take to get the VISA after medical are submitted..
He filed his application in May and last week got the application number.. also the status shows that "sponsorship application status - Decision Made"
"Permanent Residence application status - In process"

How much time will it take to get VISA..

Thanks
I’m from Quebec. So when i’ve got the email regarding my application that has been forwarded to New Delhi so i had to submit the Quebec papers too. And they approved also but then waiting for the New Delhi updates
I am also from Quebec Sir, I have got pr 2 months ago. Can I sponsor my husband from India...

aashu241 We all know they do not want any kind of CDs, Videos VHS, USB, memory Cards NO Electronic media, ONLY PAPERS . YES photographs TOTAL of not more than 20 taken at various places and dates. Here I think we can send 4-5 pics of marriage which are of the same place like Marriage Recp. Party. Here they are bit wrong in guide as if we send only 1 picture of Reception, that will not be sufficient and so on.
So I sent 4 pics of Hall with various people, then 1 from Religious Ceremony, 3-4 with her relatives, 3-4 of the Honeymoon and 3-4 of other places we visited. I feel 20 should be increased to 40 or 50 at least. but ppl were sending them 300 or more photos in the past so if 20 are of BEST out of BEST it should work. My timeline :-
Application Recvd SYDNEY 30 JULY 2018

Sandhu 2012 You are very lucky so far they did not returned the whole package! So you are on the right track NEW DELHI as per my past experience takes any where from 8 months to 1 year. Some exceptions with complicated cases may take even more time. You are on the right track. NDVO asks applicants NOT to ask any updates as it further takes more times to process. I read they get thousands of Qs for which they have same standard answer. BTW Sandhu what is your time line from beginning so we can guess. Thanks

aashu241 I think sponsoring some1 in 2 months after arrival in Canada may be too quick. Lets wait for Senior Members to reply this thing. You have to show them how would you support your spouse, and that may need some income proof too.
