Thanks but I didn't have a GCKey. I didn't sign up for one.
Case was refused because the VO didn't like my wife's answers. I am disabled and the VO thought my wife didn't care about what's going to be involved in caring for me. She kept giving answers like "nothing's wrong" and "everything's OK"
The appeal was relatively easy. I was so worried about what they may ask. The appeal started at 8:45am. They asked me questions until about 10:30am. They called my wife after a 15min break and the appeal was over before noon. They just asked me questions about my wife (like what she does, what her parents do, how many brothers and sisters, their names, etc.), and what plans we had (work, where we were going to live, how many kids, etc). They asked my wife similar questions about me and my family.

Guys - Need a suggestion on my case. I'm Indian living in the US. Following are my dates:

- Application Submitted - 22nd Jan,2018
- AOR - 8 Mar,2016
- SA - April 4, 2018
- Background Checks submitted
- Medical done - 29 June,2018
- Current status - We are processing your Background check.

Today 22nd Aug, 2018 I received an email saying my file was sent to NVDO.
Can someone tell me if a Visa interview is needed will that be in India or US? I in India Is there a way for me to request them to change that?

Ok so it’s confirmed ....October and a Few November applicants have started getting DMs & PPRs so looks like NDVO is speeding up the process. Infact someone claimed that even January cases got PPRs but I don’t want to trust it till I get reliable info. This post is in reference to Spousal Outland Applications with NDVO

Its normal to get such calls. They might want some verification, so they end up calling PA. Is your Husband PA or sponsor?
Sometimes, they even cross check answers by calling sponsor person by asking similar questions.

Do you mind sharing those questions which CIC asked your husband apart of DOB?

Hi there is absolutely nothing to be worried about!!! This is a completely normal process of background check!! As long is your relationship is genuine there is nothing to worry about. Instead it’s a good sign that your file is being actively worked upon!! Relax and wait for good news shortly ...
