Current processing time is 10-11 months from date of receiving. So, you should hear something by Nov-Dec.

Sure will do. As of now it says the application is under process at Canadian embassy in New Delhi. I am hoping the same for you. Can you please confirm?

Our application was submitted on the 1st of Nov 2017 and we were asked to pay the RPRF in Feb'18. Since then, we haven't heard anything. Each day goes by with the hope of getting PPR, but nothing happens and our medicals are due to expire in Oct (we had got our medicals done on Oct-11-2017).

Our consultant said, they had raised a status request on May-9-2018, however, even they haven't got any update. Raised ticket (through form and email) with NDVO couple of weeks ago and they haven't responded yet. Finally raised a request for GCMS notes last Friday. Pretty tensed since this is the 9th month and some of our acquaintances (of same NDVO) got their PPR in just 3-4 months and are flying next month.

NDVO has been working on September and finishing off August files. October applicants have not been started yet. So far this week there has been very little in the way of updates given. This silence happened at the last week of June and first week and a half of July. Hopefully that isn't going to the be the case now (2.5 weeks of mostly silence). I'm guessing that October's files should start soon, with November's following. With any luck you might hear something mid/end August at the earliest. However NDVO is unpredictable so it is very hard to guess.

One suggestion would be to have the sponsor contact their Member of Parliament (MP) and ask him/her to do an enquiry. I've heard you will get a faster update than with requesting GCMS notes which takes 30 days.
