Hi frnds !! had anyone applied for proof of citizenship. Sorry for asking this here. Bcoz, No thread for citizenship certificate.

My ECAS status :
1. We received your application for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship) on April 11, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 22, 2018.

Its been 5 months. Since, Application received. Processing time of 5 months has exceeded. Even it is not changed into "In process". Please reply Iam helpless

It takes approximately 10 months from the date of application to get your PPR. So maybe a month or two more . You can even get in this month , you never know it all depends on the NVDO, can’t gurantee anything

Pre arrival is usually the mail that you get from CIC (NDVO) when your application is in the last stages , these are the Services provided and Funded by Govt of Canada before you arrive to Canada so there is no or less difficulty for new comers. And as per the conservations , Pre-arrival means that’s relationship is genuine and the Visa officer is convinced about the relationship. ( please check the older conversation for proper terminology) I guess someone mention it in the GC notes section . After pre-arrival usually within a week or so you will get Decision Made ( DM) and PPR . I hope I am clear .

Thank you so much for the detailed note. Looks I nee go longway then. Here is my status.

Application posted on Sep 14th 2017 to Sponser my spouse.
2. Application received in Mississauga on Sep 15th 2017.
3. Received letter from CIC on Oct 31st 2017 saying met the requirements for eligibility as Sponser.
4. Received email for medical check on Nov 2nd and completed the medical for my wife on Nov 9th 2017
5. My wife received email to provide Schedule A and Passport copy on Nov 4th 2017 and submitted the same on Nov 10th 2017.
6. Informed CIC about our new born baby by sending the birth certificate on Mar 23 2018, while waiting to get the passport.
7. April 24th 2018 Received the letter for asking the application form to add my child.
8. May 28th 2018, submitted all the forms along with passport of our child.
9. June 5th 2018 CIC confirmed the receipt of the documents.
10. July 13th CIC requested for my child medical exam and we did the medical exam on July 18th 2018.
11. Aug 3rd received the letter in mail dated as July 13th that application updated to include our child and all the eligibility requirements are met.
12. Sep 7th 2018, received an email stating that application has been forwarded to New Delhi.

When you Sign in your cic account / GC key you will see application/profile updated. Under that section you will see profile updated .

I submitted in Hyderabad vfs on September 4 and got my passport on 15 September

Application receive date : Oct 30, 2017
Medicals done : Jan 25, 2018
Started processing : Feb 2,2018
Pre arrival : Aug 31,2018
DM : Sep 1, 2018
PPR : Sep 3,2018
Passport submitted : Sep 4, 2018.
Passport received back : Sep 14, 2018

I suggest following up with you MP office and letting them know that the 12 month mark will pass in 2 weeks so you’d like to receive an update on the status of the application and what’s taking so long. Good luck
