Hi,

I am waiting for spouse visa and I currently stay in Canada (Visit visa). I got passport request from CIC today. I am pregnant and is due in May.CIC email says that I should inform them about pregnancy or Child birth. My husband is a PR holder. How should I mention about the pregnancy ? Should I submit any medical letter from doctor or just a self attested letter?
My child will be born here and will be a Canadian automatically. Can anyone help me about how to inform CIC about pregnancy?

By Spouse Visa you mean immigration correct?

If you are already in Canada on TRV or Visit Visa please request for an extension on your stay so that you dont become a defaulter. Your medical condition is a valid excuse for you to not fly out. Get a letter from your doctor.

Yes... Immigration. (Family sponsorship).My visa extension is all completed. I mentioned pregnancy as the reason and they granted me extension.Now it is my Family sponsorship -spouse. I will send doctor's letter along with passport to CIC as mentioned in their email. My doubt is that is there any chances that they delay my PR status(Permanent resident visa stamping) until the baby is born.

Ok,yours is abit different than mine, they only asked 5 Pages of supplementary form for me and they ask for scan and copy and gave me 30 days to return it but yours is different so you have to fill it out and mail to the address below and also u can email them as well and yes write everything important in envelope and also print the letter and put it with your supplementary forms as well. Wish u good luck

On my email it doesn't say anything about scanning. This is the email my husband received:

Dear Applicant,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Please find attached a copy of the Supplementary Form to be filled by you as a part of your application.

The form should be duly completed and returned to us within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of this mail.

quick question . my wife is coming to Canada today , New delhi to Winnipeg via Toronto . she will have collect baggage at Toronto or Winnipeg ?

it depends on the connecting flight. make sure to confirm at the customs.. they'll tell you.. when i had westjet n jet airways i had to collect my luggage coz of the different terminal. when i had all air canada ones; i didn't have to
