You need to have an account created on CIC using GCKey and Link you application to account. Make sure to use sponsored applicant file /UCI number for it

Hello,

I am a silent reader of this forum since a long time. Just wanted to share the news with all as Background process has been started of my wife's file. I don't know when exactly it started but it shows Background " IN PROCESS ".

Here is the timeline
Application filled : 18 May 2016
AOR 2: AUG 02
File transferred on AUG 02

Don't know what to expect next but I know many MAY or even APRIL applicants are still waiting so just wanted to express my feelings for Them as I hope and pray that they get it soon.

It appears a bit frustrating that quite a few may end to june beginning applicants are still waiting. But hang in guys, nothing to panic.

My background check went to in progress today.

I have already booked the tickets so little worried about it

Normally within 5-10 working days, most of the people got it within a week

Hi Muskaan,

The visa will be stamped by CIC, you should expect 7-10 days for stamping. if in case you feel that tickets are booked for an earlier date, then you can send an email to CIC with the copy of your tickets and ask them to prioritise.

Hi Spand806,

If you had applied for a visitors visa after filing for her PR application and you had got your AOR 2, the visitors visa will be granted for 10 years for sure no doubts about that. Dont worry and file it ASAP.

Hi Everyone..

Congratulation for those who are noticing movements on their file. My question is for all the Late JUNE applicants - who's AOR was received around mid august like the 17 to 19 2016.

Did you notice any movement on your file ? We are 19th Aug 2016 AOR2 and nothing at all.
All we know is that our file is in the last stages of review since 05/01/2017 and nothing more.



Thank you and hope this process is over in due time for all of us waiting.
