we have seen that people got "DM" and "PPR" on weekends too, but since this will be last day of the year, i also don't think they will work.

They are done with 2016 target. So flow will start from 3 Jan 2017 . Let's hope they will start process quickly

I am 12 april applicant.

We received your application for permanent residence on April 12, 2016.
We started processing your application on June 21, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

But i didnt went upfront medical so can be this reason of delay. Because my status is still in process.

No that's not the case. I didn't do upfront medical as well. But I got decision made last week finally. Its luck game just wait and watch you will get it by January end.
I lost hope as well but finally there is progress. I am 1st April applicant.
