Which documents are you looking to get notarized-- follow the regional application guide for India when preparing your application. All instructions are given there!

Like marriage certificate, passport, aadhar card etc. Do they need to be notarized.

My wife currently holds two passports because of water spill on the old she applied and got the new one .But the new passport also has old passport number on one of the column.

1. Do I have to include both passports while filling the case.
2. All pages of passport has to be photocopy or just front and back
3. Do I need to notarize every single document I am attaching in the file.

P.S: Filling the case first time, please pardon me for any silly enquiries.

Your wife has two booklets, the valid one is the passport, the previous is for reference to keep the continuity going and for verification purposes only. Use the current one by checking the valid dates on them. The Damage one is not good for submission. If you have any current VISA stamps in the damaged one, they are still good for use but you would need to carry the current booklet at the same time (for any country)

1. For all application submissions (going forward) please use the latest or the current booklet
2. Front and back of the main pages should suffice but i went ahead and submitted all pages from all booklets
3. No notarization is needed. All you can do is to self attest them by signing each xerox of the original document you are submitting

Hello Guys.. My timeline for benefit of everyone is as follows:

1. File Submitted in CIC: 14th March 2016
2. AOR1 (SA): 20 APRIL, 2016
3. AOR2 (SA): 30 April,2016
4. Email from NDVO for fee/medical etc.: 02 May 2016
5. RPRF/Medical submitted to NDVO: 06 May 2016
6. NDVO Email query on delayed application of Spouse PR recvd: 17 September 2016
7. Reply submitted with detailed justiifcation/SA husband visit to India/tkts/photo/family photos/bro. marriage photos etc: 02 October 2016
8. SA DM recieved: 5th November 2016
9. PA DM received : 28th NOVEMBER 2016
10. Email from NDVO for PPR submission: 29th Nov'2016
11. Passport submission to VFS planned on 5th Dec'2016.

Conclusion: Took almost 8 months.. could have been 6 months if query not received. Anyways..hope all can assess their cases too.

Congrats, the only out of sync document is SA DM. Where did you submit your file?

Okay guys... May application here , Background check went in progress either today or yesterday

But there is a problem, medical expires in January and we can't travel in January. Has anyone tried requesting to have the visa expire on a later date.

If we do complete re-medical in the next few days (Holiday where spouse is right now) will it work? does the visa office look at the new medical?

There was another chap who had a similar problem, the recommendation was not to delay your processing any further, and not to confuse the already confused NDVO. The other chap had his brothers wedding and he was working around that, so your excuse must be a solid in the eyes of NDVO for not travel. Visa dates are very important, fly down to Canada and request for an expedited PR card or travel doc.

Thanks everybody, again m saying i understand pain for all those, who have been waiting constantly for PPR.
this was not in my hands to give me early or late approval. its just happened. background i dont know ..

and to answer whether it was TRV or PR, this was for PR only guys. and i have some other contacts there who has applied and have confirmed that their status is going like me only. There are so many people outside who are not here in this forum, only 2-3% are here., so there are n number of things which are going positively or negatively on with them.. even before applying we were informed that these days they are doing this faster. when i entered here, i became pessimist again after seeing the current trend. so, just last thing i'll pray for everyone who are desperately waiting. and definitely this is not a fake case neither m here to prove anything about reality. thanks all

everybody should focus on their own case, instead of saying why him or her got before me just because i applied earlier. By that logic, none of 2016 application should have been processed since many 2014, 2015 applications are still pending.

We have a lawyer we send all the documents to Canada so I dont know if it is applied from Canada or India lol but I am sure it is nothing to in my case with Nepal because I am indian citizen living in Nepal.

I think doesn't really matter as months are only number listed on website because VO choose the way they want deal with each file

It's true for some cases but not for all and big factor is LUCK. It also depends on officer, as some of them are lazy and socially inept.
Everyone knows about long process of 18 months in 2014 and 2015 and now a days one person get PPR within 3 months and another one is waiting for one year with no red flags.
Everyone is hoping quick process because of immigration minister's promise of quick process( may be political strategy)
It's also a human nature to get everything as quick as possible, so you can't complain because all human are same. Some people complains because their spouse ask them daily about process.
There are 100 of reasons.

Bro, i know it's very difficult. and once in a while it's okay, but when you see posts after posts written in a negative tone....

May 10th Applicant - checked yesterday but shows review of eligibility in process.

Guys the good thing is they have started may applications so may be plus minus couple of days or weeks.

Hopefully soonner for everyone on this forum.

Hey there guys!! First of all I would like to congratulate the one's with DM, PPR, BC in Progress and for people who are waiting (good luck).

I have a question - I am a Canadian citizen and I applied from Canada and my wife is in New Delhi, India. Should my timeline be 12 months or 18 months? This is supposed to be confusing me as different people say different stuff.

Also I would like to be added in the spreadsheet.

My Timeline: Application sent - June 16
AOR 1 - July 5
AOR2 - Aug 26
Background - Not started

it's been 16 days n still waiting for it....

Yes, today eve I have collected my stamped passport (they updated at 2:15 pm & i collected the same 3:15 pm)..happy for the that ..

I just noted, SMS notification is bit delayed compare to website tracking, just keep crosschecking on line portal. your passport must be in queue. For sure it will be coming at any good day. just start planning for travel ..

so the PPR process goes like -->sent to delhi/bangalore --> processing at delhi/bangalore--> Processed passport dispatched from delhi -->ready for collection .

in which stage your passport showing now? have you tried calling vfs helpdesk ?
