can anyone pls tell me how much time it will take for PPR? my family is in big trouble.even my wife left job for visit india for me and from 2 months we are waiting for ppr mail but stil nothing happened.

OMG!!! Today finally background check shows in progress!!!
How long now till we get PPR?

Also he has been sent re-medical request and was supposed to do it on tomorrow (Sat) he had the appointment booked and flew from Srinagar Kashmir, but the doctor is now going out of India for few days so his medical appointment in Delhi has been moved to 16th.
So I assume CIC will wait till after they receive that to issue PPR? Is this medical delay going to hold anything up? He tried to switch to another clinic but all are booked beyond the 20th now. If he does it on the 16th they told him within 3 days after that CIC will have the results electronically.

Well he still has to complete medical again. It expires end of this month. So they sent him a re-medical request on the 2 Nov. It was scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday 12) but the doctor cancelled it because he had to go out of country. It's now on the 16 Nov. I am hoping that extra week doesn't put us behind by too much.

I already have a ticket to go to India on 2 March for 6 months. We plan to go back and forth. And I want enough time for him to be here and get the PR card so we can go back and forth (otherwise I'll be going to India without him on the 2 March and he will have to follow when the card comes). I can't cancel the flight without losing a LOT of money. If he gets here in Canada by end of Dec will 2 months be enough time to get the card??

lol What did I say to you yesterday, your file is in line to be reviewed and when its reviewed you will straight go to background check. Anyways, get the medical done, they will do the background check in the mean time, its taking about 2 weeks right now and you will have DM a few days after your medical is received. Congrats!!!

NDVO is so slow! Glad you got ur re medical though. Hopefully they pick up the pace. Don't worry I think you will get PPR before this year ends! Keep your hopes up!

Do you think he will be here landed before Christmas time? And will that be enough time to get the actual PR card? My flight back to India in 2 March. So if he lands here before Christmas, then will just over 2 months be enough time for him to get the card so we can both go back to India together?
