If you apply for Visitor Visa then it would have no impact on your current PR...so you can go for it

April 18th Applicants are the ones who got PPR recently.

So keep looking at the forum to know more about it. You need to check your Mycic account for Background Check to go : "In process" first. Then you can expect DM.

Not all april 18TH applicants got passport request. im April 18 and no change to my applicant since May

How soon we will be able to start tracking here?

Do check on moziila and internet explorer
Cause even in beginning after submission when I logged in throgh chrome it showed no details but then somewhere it was mentioned to check in those above two browsers then I found the status
Maximum two working days it'll take to get passport back with visa , that's it .

Thank you uzmi. Tried through IE browser, but still not showing up. Probably will take a day for it to show up in the system?
Did it show for you on the same day?

May 26th applicant. I know its too early to ask this, but if there is a change in mycic account like background check in process, then when do we expect a change in ecas status. I am asking this because I can't link my application due to representative issue. So I can only check ecas status for any update. Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, but I don't think the change in eCas will be immediate, if there is change in myCIC. So far, what I have understood from the experience of others is that the eCas shows "Decision made" in 2-3 days after there is change in BG on myCIC.

Hello Folks,

Congrats to those who have received their immigration Visa and good luck to those who have applied and are in queue. I need some help and information from the more seasoned folks on this thread.

I have applied for my wife's immigration under the spousal immigration outside Canada.

While i was in India in mid may I had already visited CMM in Hyderabad so that my wife can get her medical done and PPC taken care off. So i am hoping that i will save sometime there since the medical is completed and valid till June 2017

I had submitted sponsorship papers on July 18th 2016
I got the confirmation that they have received it, on the status tracking website on July 19th 2016
I got the approval email from CIC that the application for sponsorship has been approved on Aug 24th 2016
They even said that Delhi has received my wife's application file on Aug 9th 2016
Processing has been initiated on Aug 31st 2016

- How much time is it taking in general for spouses to get the immigration visa stamped?
- In the meanwhile can she apply for a visit visa and visit me?
- Does sending email to Delhi Office help in anyway?
- Can this process be expedited?

2) yes you can apply for TRV
3) From experience , it wont help you

Hey my wife had to go get chest X-rays again because they send an email about something for clear X-rays and she went back to the medical office and did it 2 days ago but I am just wondering when I will her something from them about medical cleared or passed and how long does it take to show on MyCIC or ECAS

When they receive the results and pick your file again for processing. Then medical results should be updated.
