My wife got PPR in morning 10:30 IST .

Question : "1) Passports

· VFS is our trusted partner for safe and secure passport transmission. Using VFS services is the only way to submit your passport. Contact VFS in India (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india) or in Nepal (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nepal) and pay the requisite fees for the Passport Transmission Services . A separate envelope is required for each passport.

Do they require old passport too ? My wife's passport was cancelled and she got a new one (when she got my name added and address changed in passport). So do we need to send both ?

So far I have only DM on PA side. No change in my CIC.

To all that received PPR today, did you guys have background check in progress before you received PPR request and if yes, how long before. I am curious to know whether NDVO is updating the new website or do they just do things without updating the website.

I guess NDVO updates GCMS notes , and website picks up data from GCMS , so i think NDVO is doing their job correctly.
Everyone is getting Background in progress before DM/PPR

I am waiting my Background check in progress as well , hopefully they will reach our files soon

Hi All,

My info for spousal sponsorship is as under:
Application Date: March 29, 2016.
Sponsorship Approval: April 21, 2016
AOR from NDVO: May 17, 2016.

My spouse applied for my PR when I was in India. I moved to USA on work visa in April 2016. Do I need to inform NDVO that I have moved to USA. If yes, how?
When I receive PPR request, should I courier my passport to India from USA?
Also, now that I am in USA since April, do I need to provide PCC from USA also?

Phewww!! So it has taken 5 and a half months!! Wow I can't believe it.

My wife's Feb applicant but no progress on PR application. She's in Canada on TRV though.

We finally received PPR today (Monday).. Just getting time to write here.

This forum has been very helpful. Especially when hope was very low. We are Jan 22nd applicant. MyCIC did go in to "background - in progress" and is still the same.
ECAS status showed Decision Made the next day.

dondsw - please update our info in the spreadsheet.

Background check in MyCIC - 9th Sept
DM - 10 Sept in ECAS
PPR - 12 sept

Hope the rest of you waiting and also 2015 applicants get their visa ASAP.
