anyone know how soon it is determined a case is straight forward or not in GCMS notes?

applied GCMS, but worried now as i think they only process straight forward cases quickly

I did mp enquiry and got reply today .its been more tha 32 days for my wife's TRV appl.

This is what mp office told me.
The application was received at the Visa office in Xxxxxx on June xxx

o The processing time for such an application is 32 days

o The officer made a note mentioning that the file had gone under review as of July 13th and it can be finalized at any time



Note: When an application has gone under review, we are not provided with the details of what is being assessed under the review and the normal processing time no longer applies to the file.



Now what does review means is it good or bad.anyone?

Probably a good sign. ...it means a security or background check and it is a 90 percentage chance of trv get approved from my experience

I have been following this thread from long time and saw that processing time is really going fast...
Congrats to everyone getting their DMs nd PPR. My case is a bit sophisticated one.
My husband sent my application today. We got married in March this year. He is Canadian citizen.
- the complication is that earlier i applied for student visa twice and got rejected saying that my purpose of visit is not genuine.
is this going to affect my PR application...m really worried about it.

The processing time is not going that fast and you will have no problems with the student permit rejections

But your application received by cic on feb 19
Means u are a feb candidate
Link your application to my cic and see if they have started processing background checks if u do then it will take anywhere from two to 6 months ty

As you suggested I linked my application to MY CIC website and as per the records available on 25 July 2016 stated below:

Application/profile status: OPEN
Review of eligibility: Review in Progress
Review of medical results: Passed
Review of submitted documents: [ BLANK ]
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A Background check is needed: No Started
Final decision : Not started

You wanted to say after they inititated background check it normally takes 2-6 months or the entire process from Feb'16 will take that time?

Background check is the final steps in finalizing the application and according to current trends it takes any time from 1 to 6 months from the date it is initiated. ..the time interval is different for different applications
