1. It just means NDVO is processing the file (work in progress)
2. 6-9 months is standard
3. I am a May 11 applicant, and background check hasn't even started for us yet. You can check the excel sheet for updates.

Oh and I was able to login to both gc key and ecas right now.

as far as I understand, this review is to find if your marriage is legit and all the paper work submitted is legal.
my status is the same. eligibility review is in process. they have not even started the background check.
lets see. one of my friend sponsored his wife in March of this year. she has been already here for a month now..
it all depends how they deal with.

but I do agree NDVO should work on the files as they arrive and once they touch the file they should finish it and not put it on side after certain work is done.

if they would have been doing this. there would not have been so much backlog for files.

Now tell me guys when my sponsor approval email coming ?

I am submit my file on 28th june 16 cpc Mississauga

The official response from Mississauga is 40 business days and if you see my timeline it will give you an idea. Jul 18 application sent, Aug 24th SA approval

Its nice that the feb and march applicants who was waiting from long time got DM mail...
But if we see that in sep they started april files.. till now no any may application they even touch... ndvo is verry slow...

You need to post 10 comments to edit your timeline in profile page.
To add links again I think again there should be some specific number of posts. Not sure though .

Thanks a lot for your clarification

also if I understood correctly from them
they will be contacting the register office where the marriage is register and get the complete registraion.
also the picture and documents you submitted regarding the marriage and honeymoon.
this should not take long time, but it all depends on where the marriage was registered at.

the friend I mentioned in the mail got registered in the big city, I on the other had the registration in the small village close to Vadodara. so the sooner the register office provide their feed back the soon it can get completed.
