Ecas does update when medical is received or if there is a decision made. I think it also lets you know if they sent you an email or letter for document requests. But other than that you will just have to wait. I have a lawyer too so I understand the frustration of not being able to link my application with my cic and it's probably annoying to keep calling your lawyer to check if there's any progress.

I just noticed that my Ecas Status changed to Decision Made on PA Side as well finally.
It seems like the wait is finally over.

hlo uzmi first of all congrats...plz will u tell me for how manys days after your elgible review started the background chnages to in process bcoz frm last month my elgible review is in process and background started nt started ...i am 21 march applicant and my file reaches india on 2nd may

background check- still in progress and in ECAS- same three lines though!
What to expect now..!?

Yup. Everything is still the same for me as well.
Next thing to expect is PPR, Hopefully we will receive it soon

The eligibility review is an ongoing process so there is no specific time line that it will take from that to background check started.
Once your background check is in process then it only took two days for decision made for both me and Uzmi.
Hopefully your background check will start soon as well.

I dont know when they are going to start april application again. ...i hope they wont make us wait 19 months...losing hope everyday...lived together with my wife for only 26 days...she is always sad now...as a hus i have no control over pr process and i dont know how to console her...just now she asked me if we could give bribe to ndvo .....man she should be losing patience so much....

Actually the time when we were allowed to link applications , that time itself my review was in progress .
So in short I have no idea when it came into in process ! After that now I got the background check in process !!
August first week I linked my application to mycic account ! Sooo yeah , I guess It takes more than a month.
No idea how much time though!
