New Delhi Applicants.. Please post if you have any information

Hi I have sent the passport to New Delhi and it is about to be a month now... No change in Ecas still single line in progress... and no response from New Delhi.... Anybody knows how long does it take to return the passport??? Please provide your time if you have already recieved the passports...

harupit200281, Sorry I do not have any info that would be of use to you since my application started processing at ND on Nov 6th and waiting for PPR. Can you please post your timeline.

Hi Harupit

My husband had his application processed through New Delhi. It took 16 days to get the PP back with the visa. I think it typically takes 2-3 weeks, but it can often take longer. I know of at least one other person on another forum who has been waiting about 6 weeks for his PP to be returned. And I have heard of others who have had to wait 2-3 months! ND does a background check once they receive your PP so especially if you have ever lived outside of the country, this final step can take longer. Hope you get your PP back soon. Good luck.

PP Sent - Received in Delhi: 26 Nov
Waiting for passport.

as ariell suggested, have you travelled anywhere outside india? that might be the cause of the delay...
