CIC is still working applications that been received on December 22, 2014. Might take about a month or so before you can hear anything from them yet. Hold on it will be here soon.

Has anyone here received a AOR2 yet from New Delhi?

Hello guys, as we no longer can choose our preferred visa office. Is there any case(s) where application of Indian, Nepali and Bhutani nationals is transferred to NDVO even if the primary applicant does not live in the respective countries.

Here is my situation. My spouse had applied for her visitor visa before our marriage(her cousin lives in Canada and invited her). She got her visitor visa approved before marriage. She will be traveling pretty soon. I wanted to know what kind of questions and documents will the immigration officer request at the port of entry?

I did exactly the same.... and believe me no question asked.

We checked in together at the immigration (Pearson airport).. the officer just asked what is our relation with each other and how long she is staying in Canada. Other than our passports and my PR card, nothing was asked. In the end, the office told us that in case my wife changes her plan and decided to stay more than 6 months, let CIC know three months in advance and they will facilitate for her extension. However, she just stayed here for 2 weeks then returned.

That's perfect. I have given her my PR card copy, pay slips, offer letter just in case. She is planning to stay for almost 6 months. We have her return ticket booked. Did the officer mention any date on the entry stamp. This is great feedback. Thanks!

Thats great officer stamp on the passport (CBSA + date of entry) and wrote the date which is the one day less than 6 months from the day we entered to Canada. We were told that she has to leave Canada before or on this day or else apply for extension 3 months prior to the date.

Also, I strongly suggest you to bring return ticket, not only booked but the bought one.

Wow, its exactly the same as what we experienced at the Toronto airport. Just be truthful and use the word "visiting". My wife had her return tkt (6 months) + travel insurance valid for 6 months. I had also attached copy of CIC application fee I had paid in advance.

My permanent residence application still says application received. Did you mail your medical or did you do E-medical?
