Hi Guys!! i have some awesome news..

i woke up to Passport Request email... i almost missed the mail with the other bunch of incoming mails.. but i have received PPR and when i checked eCas it is showing DM.. im so thrilled but at the same time i really hope wish n pray that everyone who has been waiting for their positive updates receive it soon... i hv a feeling they will try and clear backlogs and a major chunk of waiting files before diwali..keeping fingers crossed!

Tenso, drax1289, sunny6359,vickypatel, rozi and all october applicants keep an eye on ur mails.. looks like NDVO has finally woken up from their slumber and they've had a rather early start to the day im guessing

Will be submitting my passport today. How long does it take to get the passport back with the visa stamping any idea?

db80, we are 6-7 people who got IP on Aug 17. yesterday sufiana already received PPR.
Hopefully we all get DM/PPR soon too

Thanks sunny6359 for adding my status to the spreadsheet! Please update the "In Process" change date as per the updated timeline below.

Here is the updated info/timeline:
(1) Application received by CIC-Miss: Oct 1, 2014 (upfront Medicals date: Aug 28 2014)
(2) AOR1 from CIC-Miss: Jan 1, 2015
(3) SA received: Jan 6, 2015
(4) AOR2 from NDVO: Jan 21, 2015 (with PCC request for US as my wife was in US, and PCC from FBI was not ready earlier
(5) Sent original PCC from US by post (Jan end); Received acknowledgment from NDVO (mid Mar)
(6) Updated my wife's address to my Canadian address as she came to Canada as a Visitor; Received acknowledgment from NDVO (mid Apr)
(7) Status changed to "In Process" on Aug-17-2015 (as per Date modified on Ecas) and I noticed it on Sep 21, 2015

--> As of today, status is still "In Process" where it says PR application is in process since Jan 21, 2015 (AOR2 date)

As it stands, it has been more than 2 months since "In Process" date but no correspondence since then.

lol.. bro i know its kinda gud for some people, but with this change there is also going to be culture change.
there could be people standing in front of College , Universities or even high school to sell this stuff.. our age group will have very less impact due to this, but this change will be very scary for other families.

personally, i am not affected by this at least for next 15-20 years

I did it for the future.. if we wants future applicants not to suffer this pain, we had to take decision yesterday. if not me, my friend or family member will benefit from this.

I was thinking the exact same things since I am see a lot of comments and thread talking about the new government, its new policies and actions. What ever it was promised it is not going to happen over night if the promise is kept and we wont likely receive the benefit.

This. If anyone thinks that a new government will have an immediate effect on processing times, they are kidding themselves.

Trudeau promised to "nearly double the budget for processing family class sponsorship". But he hasn't talked about where the money is going to come from. It will take at least a year for any of this to come to fruition, if Trudeau plans to keep his promises at all. Let's be honest with ourselves...it doesn't matter who you are talking to, or if his tie is blue, red, orange, or bright pink. Politicians lie and backtrack on almost everything they say.

Not to mention that removing the 2-year conditional period is actually a bad idea, and has no effect on genuine relationships whatsoever.

I Agree with what you are saying and things will take its time. Having said that look at the results carefully. We have 17+ Indian origin representatives sitting in the parliament and they know how much communities are suffering because of this backlog. People have voted them for a reason to bring a change and I am hopeful this will happen and future applicants will benefit from it.

Hoping people are able to see their parents/ loved ones sooner and there is no more lottery game.

Hi guys i have been reading in this forum for long time In process does not matter now a days and i have been reading this since sep then i decided to order my GCMC and and observed that it does matter and it changes when your file is touched by VO 8)

My file was in process 31-08-2015 ;D and According to my gcmc notes they started working on Application on 1 sep 2015 then i got medical request on 24-09-2015 ;D but according to GCMC notes my re medical request was sent to Delhi MC on 2015/09/14

Did you apply for notes? I suggest you do that first. Hang in there. I'm in similar situation, no updates for the last 2 months. I applied for notes after I got IP but nothing's started so I'm just waiting for a couple more weeks before I go for MP inquiry.
