Congrats to all who received PPR.

Guys I had a question. we applied for notes last week and received an email stating (After your request has been registered, a new number will be assigned to your request). Can any one plz let me know as when to pay the fee for the notes?? As there was no option to pay the fee at time we applied for notes. Should we pay once we receive new registered number?

My Ecas is "In Process" and the status is as follows:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on October 17th 2014.
2. We started processing your application on Feb 2nd 2015.
3. Medical results have been received
4. We sent you medical instructions on August 21 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


I think I had only 3 lines and now I have four, but I'm not sure.

Does this mean anything more than what's given?

Can I expect PPR soon?
Senior members, what happened to your file after you had this update?

tannygrl u mean aftr remeds u got this update as an intimation. i did nt get any intimation yet. it sure must be a gud sign

yes! i was informed by doctor that re-meds takes only a day to reach. does it really takes 2-3 months for ppr after re-meds??

She got only chest x rays. Her original medical is expiring on August 29th. Yet she recieved her re medical request.

I have been observing in this forum that anywhere between 1 to 3 months can take after re medicals. But I am hopeful that we will get an update soon. The visa office is working at a better pace than last quarter.

yeah that's so true the second quarter NDVO is absolutely working fast. lets hope d best for all .

i think that's whats happening lately. That's why i do not want remedical request, instead i want NDVO to give PPR/DM by extending my expired medical.

Hi,

I have the same doubt, even i am looking out for more information on work permit. If I can apply for one through my company while my PR is in process or no. Let me know if you find any information on this.

Meanwhile, I read about open work permit in the cic website and thought it applies for outland applications as well and I applied for an open work permit. but it got rejected. it turns out that the open work permit option while your PR is in process is applicable only for inland applicants. I read in one of the sites that outland applicants can apply for work permit but not open work permit. Even I am searching for more information on this.

I believe the best option is for the Canadian spouse to call into CIC and ask them this question directly.

Status on ECAS just moved to "Decision Made" for our file. Here is the timeline:

Application Received : 20-Jun-2014
Medical Done : 1-Jan-2014
Sponsorship approval : 1-Oct-2014
In Process : 11-Feb-2015
Re-Medical Request : 4-Aug-2015
Re-Medical Done : 6-Aug-2015
Decision Made : 27-Aug-2015
PPR : waiting ...

Hope this helps. It would be nice if someone can update the Excel Sheet.

That is normal. It is a good time to order your first set of notes as your file should now contain some updates. I would recommend to wait for about 2 weeks before applying for notes, for any further updates to go into the system.

I got my notes and it says eligibility passed but criminal and security not started yet. Anyone had any idea how long it might take to complete these 2 steps. I am in process since July 1 2015. I got remedical request too and I have submitted full remedical though I was requested only chest Cray. Doc here asked me to do full medical.
