ADR is additional documents request. NDVO asks for more communication proofs, divorce certificate, photographs, baby's birth certificates etc. from some applicants.

I am waiting for my passport now. How many days it takes to get passport back from NDVO?

My guess would be 7-10 business days !!!

Applied on 11 July , Delhi on 9 October , med done on 22 May, additional document req on 25 feb after that no update still AR

I am a Jan 2015 applicant. I applied yesterday for TRV for my wife in India. Does anybody know how long does the online application takes place? Is it the same 7 days as the paper application?

Kamaldeep,it's hard time for all of us,our brain have stopped functioning also.
According to the spreadsheet JUly applicants after 20th have been stucked,is in't?
Any specific reason why your file is stucked,did you apply for notes or not?
Even my status is AR/MR and now that I have stopped checking my ecas coz have no hopes..
did you do remed or not?

Yes, 20th to 30th July Visa Officer seems to be on a holiday......
Shud happen any day now.....

Kamaldeep, i know dey recieved my ADR docs on 25th May, as per the info....

So lets hope they process stuff soon...Many times they update online status late....

Another , i feel it will take 30 tp 45 days for IP to DM....dis is the best case scenario, unless of course dey go to cruise rhythem which is IP to DM is 1 week...

Also, i got a new PCC....my previous PCC expires by June end....
I plan to do a fresh upfront medical after 30th june and send it to them, incase i do not get a remed request till then......(my med expires on 30june)

No harm in preparing and sending new pcc and new medical, will save time only , else will get stuck in the remedical que again..

If applicant is in canada on TRV. Nd meanwhile if we get PPR of pr application. Can we submit passport at CPC ottawa ? Whats next after submitting it?

you are so very true Aqua!!I just pray that NDVO processes our files fast.Wish we had applied before 20Th LOL,I don't know why NDVO has problem with dates between 20th to 30 th.

I will wait till next month,if not then I will submit remed and Pcc by my own.

May be ADR is the reason for delay.. No remedical still waiting for request, I didn't applied for notes .. I am the one who is waiting without applying for notes and MP enquiry.. Same status AR even I stopped checking..

Travelling to India with Indian Passport showing New Name and PR Card shows Old Name and return to Canada

My wife is a Canadian Permanent Resident and Indian Citizen living in Manitoba Province. She recently changed her LAST NAME to my FIRST NAME in her Indian Passport and obtained a new passport from the Indian Consulate in Canada, while the old Indian Passport was cancelled and returned.

She just applied and waiting for Manitoba Province Legal Name Change Certificate (which will show her both new name and old name).

She plans to apply for Name Change on RR Card too after getting Manitoba Legal Name Change Certificate.

We have few concerns as she wants to travel (before getting new PR Card with New Name) to India and return to Canada:

• Will there be any difficulty in Canada & Indian immigrations and aircraft boarding as last names on Indian Passport and Canada PR Card are not matching?? (Air ticket Name will be as it appears on her new Indian Passport)
  
• If PR Card Name Change is not required for this trip, what else (other than Old and New Indian Passports, PR Card with Old Name, Manitoba Province Legal Name Change Certificate, Marriage Certificate and COPR) documents to be carried??
