I also applied on March 28, 2014 still my wife status in Application received.I don't understand what you mean by "MP inquiry" and "GCMS" please explain. Me an my wife waitting eagarly like you guys. Please explain and share your status

You can call your MPs office and ask them to inquire about your application. The will send an email to NDVO for info on your file. The process is very quick from what i've seen. They reply on almost the same day. "GCMS" notes is something that you will have to do online . It takes 30 days for the info to arrive. I havent finished that process yet, so cant comment much

After checking genuineness of your relationship application goes into IP state. So usually no interview after IP. Now your file will undergo background checks, time consumption depends on how many countries u have visited. Medical is valid for 1 year so they are requesting it again.

Thank you very much! Is the background check performed on both spouses or only the sponsored spouse? How will I know if/when they have received the new medicals?

its been 12 days since DM n still no PPR
Is this normal or they are just holding on to my application?? now i am getting worried .. is there any call centre number where i can contact NDVO call centre and tell them y i havnt received mY PPR..

There are lots of previous post regarding MP inquiry please have a look at that. You will have to contact MP not ur wife.

Im panicking, i re-submitted my updated docs on Oct.23rd and got a receipt from Canada post of the delivery on that day. So from than till now i called cic 4 times of any news they told me you have to wait 48 days from the day you submitted forms that is fine i understand, but now why am i getting the same letter again in the mail today saying please submit your forms.

Has is happened to anyone?

my file is stuck on background checks . i've only stayed in australia more thn 6 months and provided ndvo with pcc upfront .. any idea how long they will take to finalise background checks .. my medical is expiring on 11th december .. ecas is still AR/MR

Call the cic about that if they receive the docs and mention that u receive the same letter again. It may be by mistake
