hello!

the address of passport and address on application are very important since all correspondence will go there or to your email.you can check with consultants locally also...you dont have to change the address on the passport. but correspondence address is usually lawyers.

i dont think visa officers will visit and all.

Hi guys,

I need a little help. I am getting married in Feb'15 and my fiance is a Canadian citizen. Me along with my family recently (April'14) shifted our residence for a period of 2 years on rent and we plan move back to our original residence. We don't have proof for this residence so I am having trouble to change address in my passport.
My MIL talked to a lawyer in Canada who said the immigration team in India upon my submission of application can check out and visit any place I have been living or working or studying in past 10 years. This might pose a problem as in case they visit our residence for checking. I need advice how to proceed and whether I should get my address changed in passport.

Honestly speaking, if you don't want to wait and watch the game of sponsorship which goes around 8-10months, I would suggest you as below:
You guys marry traditionally in India as usual(DON'T register your marriage in India), apply for student visa now, come to canada after your marriage (as unmarried), marry officially in Canada for $50.00 and apply for spousal visa in Canada.
In this way you guys can be together and live happily and even you can progress professionally.
You might not like it but this is what I think is good to do.

OR

Apply for student visa now. Come to Canada and marry here officially then apply for PR (spousal). Go to India during vacation and just do traditional marriage.

Thanks,
Arravv

It is a dangerous game to misrepresent saying you are unmarried for student visa when you are married. I personally would not recommend this. They know when you apply for student visa, and later when you file PR, you have to show your wedding date, which will be before the date of student visa. If you show you married here after getting student visa, you have to explain why your family was not with you, why there was no ceremony, and a lot of other why's including the most important one : why did you come here on student visa and get married to a citizen, is it marriage of convenience?

I completely agree. But, the only thing that hurts me is living apart after marriage. When someone knows whom they are marrying way advance, its not wrong in entering Canada as a student and marry in Canada legally, apply for visa. Then, you can go back to India at your own leisure to do the function traditionally. I do not see anything being misrepresented here.

Thanks,
Arravv

This video http://tinyurl.com/oc3qv7j gives you step by step instructions on how to apply for GCMS notes, you need to fill out a form, which is in the description section of the video, so is the ATIP site address (https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/)

All you need to do is download the consent form which can be downloaded here -> (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp), fill it out the following:

Section A: Applicants details
Section B: Empty
Section C: Your spouse who is a permanent resident/Canadian Citizen (leave out if applicable sections as the designated individual is not a counsel member).
Section D: Opt "By Email"
Section E: Empty
Section F: Sign and date it.
Section G: Empty (I don't think anybody here is under 18)

Sign it, upload it by following the steps using the video. I've ordered them yesterday. They normally take a month to arrive.
Thank you for such a valuable info....
