I sent my wife application on November 14th 2013 from Vancouver. It arrived New Delhi on December 20th 2013. My wife got a letter from immigration for passport request in March and she sent it in. Its already august already =( They haven't updated our status online either we have no clue what's is going on right now. very worried. Can someone please give us help please. Its very hard. Everyday I'm praying to god hoping something can happen but nothing does. Crying everyday doesn't help either. Very frustrating.

currently NDVO is processing sept-oct backlogs; some november applications and very few dec applications. Normal time frame for processing is 10 months to 13 months so you should hear from them shortly. In the meantime, ask your MP to find out if an interview has been scheduled or not. If 'yes' then apply for notes to see what the concerns are for ND visa office...it is a trying time for people waiting to join their loved ones and just having patience and no expectations helps to overcome these difficult times...

in the section of this

1. We received your application to sponsor"husband" on May 9, 2014

2. We sent you a letter on July 10, 2014 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. i received the confirmation letter.

In the Permanent Residence Application Status application received. We received "husband's" application for permanent residence on May 9, 2014.

so now The file is Transferred to New Delhi as I have met the Sponsorship requirement.

police and medical originals mailed out together with the file.

i mailed out my application file may 3rd but business day would been may 5th(mon-fri). when do you think my husband will get his visa?

I have received my confirmation letter.

If I was you,going by the current trend, I'd expect it between April-May 2015. I'd suggest you make a trip in between. CIC doesn't value relationships, for them everything is in black and white. The only color they ever see is "Red" as in red flags.

Hello guys, I am a april applicant and I have been watching 2013 forum closely. Lot of people from october to December are getting thier IP and DMs. Its a good sighn for 2014 applicants. I am reading about sending passports without requests to NDVO and I am kinda skeptical about it as to how they take this step as an applicant. I mean its not requested at a first place and is it some sort of suspicion to them as regards to desperation for the visa ? or it doesnt matter.

Just curios about it ??

In Process doesn't mean anything more than "In Process", very few Nov 2013-Dec 2013 applicants have got a DM status, a lot of people have been "In Process" for over 1-2 months, e.g: rksandhu (expired medicals.. etc). The day when more than 80-90% of 2013 applicants have got DM (the rest 10-20% would fall under case complications,interviews etc), is when 2014 should expect a move in the applications, as of now, I'd say September is when Jan 2014 applicants can start expecting "In Process" and again that doesn't mean anything more than "In Process".

CIC is doing a good job at botching processing time trends, noting the fact that they haven't updated their quarterly processing time updates since March of this year, we are almost into the last quarter of 2014 and just the first quarter update (March 10th 2014)? I smell high school graduates trying to use their high school IQ here (by updating a lot of Nov-Dec applicants statuses into "In Process", without actually making decision on lot of October 2013 applicants). You are only as smart as you are.

I am assuming, that you sent your application in may 03, they received it may 05 '14. you got AOR and SA in July 10 '14.

Currently, Oct'13 and Nov'13 are getting visas. Which translates to 9-10 month procedure.

After application received by NDVO, they ask for fee paid receipt and PCC, which i think you have sent out with the application. Hence they will next update in your file on ECAS system when it goes IP - IN PROCESS around 7-8 months time Dec'14 or Jan'15. from that point it is one month average assuming there are no complications.

I'd say that is more than an optimistic time line. I will still stick to my timeline of April-May 2015, meaning application goes to "In Process" in March 2015. If everything is good "DM" by April, if medicals expire before April then May 2015.

My pessimistic 5 cents.
