Hello Pratik021,

Do not despair. I had the same issue.

  • I got an email for AOR1 on 28th March - Great!
  • I was expecting SA within a few days, but I did not receive any letter or email from CIC, even though ECAS stated "Decision Made" on 31st March - I was paranoid during this time....not great!

  • Eventually I got a letter 16 days after stating that they had approved my sponsorship application.

So just relax, try to keep your mind busy and all will be well Pratik021 :)

Take care!

Hello Guys,

I have received 1st AOR email on 9th April 2014, then after did not received any email / post for SA from CIC. It 16 days passed out after AOR email.

In ECAS - Sponsorship Application Status show : Decision Made.

And, clicking Under Decision Made, it mentioned that : "We sent you a letter on April 10, 2014 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us".

So still not received any single LETTER OR EMAIL!!!! from CIC.

All guys, can you give advise as per your experience?

Many thanks!!!

Thanks AwesomeApplicant...

It really helpful.

Keep in touch.

Thanks

Dear Pratik021, dont panic, even my SA letter sent by manual post took lot of time to arrive.

If you feel restless, you can call, they will tell you that SA is sent out and the file is being transfered - which is what i did.

Best of Luck!
KanSri

Hi Guys. I am new to this forum. I filed my application to sponsor my wife on March 18, 2014. It was received at Mississauga office on March 21, 2014. I have not had an AOR yet. Can you please tell me if AOR comes by post or does it comes via email? Thanks.

I only received an email. Given your timeline, you should be getting yours soon.

Thanks for the info. I hope I get AOR soon. They keep putting up the processing times. Now it is 34 days.

This thread might be helpful :) Sometimes, you may not get an AOR at all and just an SA to start.

I guess we can't expect consistency with the volume of applications they receive. Wishing the best for everyone. Please CIC, be quick!

Another Question - One of the requirement of the application was submitting proof of relation. For that we sent our pictures together and emails from the time our relationship started until we got married. Now that our application is in, does anyone know if say 6 months later they can ask for more emails or phone bill between now and next 6 months?

Hi Pameyb,
If they are not satisfied with whatever you have sent already they could most likely ask for more so keep a log of your communication media track in whatever form you have (email, phone bill, watsapp, etc.,)
Hope this helps!!

Through Email mostly, it will take 25 to 34 days to get 1St AOR, if you lucky then you will get SA too.
