It has to be original. Keep a copy for yourself! Thats what i did...

Thanks Palaki for your reply. I am just being selfish and would like to be with her for more than 2 to 3 weeks :). I am pretty sure you are correct but will see if I can consult an Immigration lawyer to see what he has to say and will also share their feedback here.

hi badshah
there are 50% chances of getting a visitor is for your wife....why do you want to complicate the procedure and waste your time...also there is a que on one of the forms that have you ever been refused a visa? so just aply for her sponsorship and maybe if it is convenient you can visit her instead making your case weak

Hi Baadshah,
Looking forward to feedback you receive from the immigration lawyer.

hi badshah
you are welcome...just let us know what does the lawyer say and be very very careful about what you decide... even I wanted to go on visitor's visa as my child is not too well in India but a cousin who works in imm office in vancouer warned me not to do so....also the forum members told me not to play risky...so tc, its all a procedure which is asking for patience....pray and don't worry....

Thanks Palaki. I guess that's a pretty good sign of not applying for visit visa then per your cousin. I still wonder, for my own information, why it would be bad for Sponsorship application and delay the process. My initial plan was to just apply and see what happens. At most, they can reject her. It seems it does affect the Sponsorship application though and that's what I wonder why.

In terms of proof of communication, I have Viber Chat logs of daily communication and cell phone bills showing we call each other for a couple of minutes every 3 to 4 days. I also talk on Skype every week. I hardly have any exchanged emails. Would this be sufficient or a problem?

HELP NEEDED PLEASE ( SPOUSE VISA )

Hi All, (NEED ADVICE)
I am posting to this Forum for the first time.

Here is my story >>>

I studied in the States for my undergrad and masters ( 2007 - 2012 ). Came back to India in 2012 and started my own Restaurants in New Delhi. Me and my Girlfriend( Girlfriend is a Canadian PR since 2013) were dating from the last 9 years. So we thought it was high time and we should tell our parents about it. My Girlfriend's Dad wanted my whole family to come to canada so that both the families can talk and decide for the wedding.

So me and my whole family went to canada to meet my Girlfriend's Parents. Upon reaching there both the families decided that me and my girlfriend should get married in Canada itself. So we got married in canada ( me being on a tourist visa ) .

Then after staying there for couple of weeks, me and my girlfriend decided to come back to India. Now we are planning to go to Canada again( me on a tourist visa)

So Now the question ARE

1. IF I TRAVEL ON A TOURIST VISA, CAN WE APPLY FOR MY PR FROM WITHIN THE CANADA AND ME BEING THERE ON A TOURIST VISA?

2. WHERE CAN I FIND THE REQUIRED FOR FILING THE PR

3. HOW LONG WILL THE WHOLE PROCESS BE ?

4. CAN I APPLY FOR A WORK PERMIT AFTER FILING FOR MY PR (IF APPLICABLE)

I think it should be fine. However the advice I've been given is to show longer conversations so that your 3-4 min calls don't come across as a formality. Anything that shows a quantifiable log would be a good source. Challenge with IM chats is that there are way too many pages to print if you need to.

Right, I call my spouse from my cell after 4 days for like 15 minutes and then she calls me four days after from her cell and so on to create some paper trail. Other than that, we Skype, Viber, etc.

True, I downloaded an app to get my Viber log and it's like 700 pages for about 5 months of chat history. I was also thinking if I should actually print that much when submitting my application?

Hi Guys, I think it is essential we create a new 2014 sheet because for some reason it is all fuzzed up!

I had over 2000 pages of IM chats from whatsapp. I printed out snippets from different months to show evidence rather than the entire thing. My recommendation to you would be to talk longer on the phone if possible and get a service or a plan where you have sufficient tracking e.g. an international LD plan either for you or your spouse (whoever can get it for cheaper). Alternatively, I would encourage emailing with reasonable conversations around interests, career etc (i.e. nothing too personal).

I just checked the 2013 sheet and people who sent their applications in mid December have started receiving passport requests around end of Feb, early March! So DK1212 and Jbedi, your pprs should be just around the corner.

my application was received on dec 03, still no ppr.
