How much time it takes to get PPR after DM?

Dear friends,

Finally we received the PP back with not so shiny VISA on 27th Dec... ;)...its a same visa sticker that I had on my PP back in 2004.

took exactly 8 months for complete process.

for those who doesn't have VFS office at their hometown...you can always courier directly to NDVO office. we have no VFS office in our hometown so we couriered it to NDVO and we received PP back in two weeks by Indian registered post.

Congratulation for those who got DMs and VISAs.....!!!!

All the best to AR and IP applicants...you guys are next :) :) :) :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE MEMBERS....I WISH THIS NEW YEAR BRINGS LOTS OF GOOD NEWS AND GOOD LUCK....

cheers!!!! ;D

you should get the PPR at same time of DM....check both sponsor and applicant email ids...NDVO sends the PPR to both email ids...

in some cases they may ask PP first to confirm your travel history but if its already DM then your VISA stickers is ready. :)

I got DM on Dec 23.. No PPR til now... I'm checking both the emails daily.

I believe you have a red flag and its normal... its time for you to apply for notes or MP enquiry, atleast you will come to know what stage is your file at present.

Is there a Link or List of things i have to go through Or how to send the Documents to CIC.

I remember i went through a link which says with picture how they sended their Documents. If anyone have saved the Link. Please share.

Thanks

Thanx pamma 22ji

and can we fill up application without capital letters?

Fill in Capital letters its good to give clear information on forms. best practice is to fill up online and print it up.
If you are filling up manually then use black pen.

What is gcms notes and when do we apply for them

You can order GCMS notes online. Any one living in Canada can order these notes. So you or your spouse, whoever is in Canada, as long as they have a Canadian mailing address, they can make the request.
You should order these notes if there is unusually long delay or you want to see if you are in the interview queue and the reason for it etc.

Easiest way is to go to this link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

1. Download the consent form IMM 5744. It should be signed by you and your spouse in India.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

2. Now initiate the online request at top of link posted above. Fill in the information and proceed through the application.

3. When it says to upload the consent form, upload the above signed consent form.

4. Before submission it will ask about payment. You can use credit card. Fee is 5$

The process is now complete and you will receive notes in 20 to 40 days.
