So you mean you received a letter on DEC 3rd Asking for you divorce petition and final order for sponsor. I dont know if its delayed ...seems like all the applicants are still waiting does not matter they rcvd ADR or not.....so lets just wait and see what happens......this is Extremely frustrating.....

I am also April applicant. I haven't received any ADR request, however now I am wondering what they are doing with my file. I have submitted the divorce certificate as this is what you get in Canada.... Don't understand why they need the divorce petition when Canadian immigration has approved the sponsorship......this is frustrating.

Fiza we all are on the same boat.....sometimes they ask for divorce petition and sometimes dont ....but they are not suppose to ask for it cause Canada has already approved....Still they ask for it and it delays our file

I Agree. I am so damn upset ....my marriage anniversary is coming and was hoping to be with my husband before that. looks like NDVO is not going to listen...booking my tickets and flying to India for my anniversary

Can any one suggest ......NDVO Received my file on July 15th Still the status says AR...They asked for my divorce petition but i don't know why cause i have already submitted my divorce certificate with the application and canadian immigration has approved my file ....i didn't have the divorce petition so i have sent them my divorce judgement papers...Can any one suggest that will there be any problem that i couldn't send the petition. I have all other proof that i am divorced and the Canadian immigration approves it..Then why did they put me to ADR Que....I have send the document on Nov 3rd but no news since then and the status is still AR....

The reason is very simple buddy despite seeing the divorce certificate although it does confirm your divorce and they are also 100 % sure about divorce but VO want to see what were the reasons you mentioned eventually in the petition.
You know the visa officer who is handling your file acting over smart he thinks he is better then the court or judge.he just want to make sure whether there was physical voilence or any criminal activity was present in your divorce case

VO cheking divorce files also asked some other previous applicants "The petition"

Your reason for being angry is genuine...they should checl crime through PCC that's it

It seems like it could be a formality for VO to process file as they also have to follow rules and regulations.

But we can get duplicate copy of any document from court whether its Petition or Case summary
