hello friends... i am new so can u please tell me how to check status online.... my wife just putted spouse file and i got the recepit number..

Hi, there are ways u can check ur ecas online.
The first one is with sponsor's UCI number nd details.
The second one with applicant's UCI number issued by ndvo nd applicant's details.
Thirdly with the file number and applicant's details.
U all may knw the first two bt sm ppl say they cant login with file numbr, so it can b logged in with applicant's details only. Hope this vil help u.

I have some questions

After AOR is received,approx when do you get a request to submit your passport (in terms of # of months) ?

For how long does the embassy hold your passport for?

I would be happy if u get n answer for this For applicants since December 2013, NDVO have not asked for pp.If i am not wrong they are making decision on OCt 2013 applicants files very soon and DEC,JAN applicants have not got any PP request yet.I think we may have to track those December applicants n c how things goes from now on

Congratulations Calgary man. Now on-wards the real wait game starts...!
To answer your ques, these days NDVO is not asking for the passport at early stage. They are taking there sweet time to ask for it, probably couple of weeks before when they plan to open our file. This is kind of good for us, as we can travel whenever we want.

I see that some people jbedi, Kan_Sri, pameyb, and dhaliwal gagan have received passport requests according to the timeline sheet. Have you guys received Passport requests or is this a glitch in the file?

None of us have received the PPR yet. Someone must have played around with the spreadsheet. We will keep everyone updated whenever we receive it. Being a January applicant, I am guessing that they must be asking my passport sometime in Aug; considering Sept'13 files are in process.

My wife received the email for the AOR 2 today let's see what happens next it will be PPR but let's see when my consultant said it will be by late August early September based on the current trends most visas are coming in at around 8 to 9 months if your case is clear good luck guys

NDVO is currently processing Sept 15-30 applications (as per New Delhi 2013 forum). No one from 2014 has got PPR yet. If you want to be updated on December files status, kindly follow New Delhi 2013 forum, as members are very active over there.

I sent an application for my spouse on April 24, 2014 to CPC-M and I received the AOR on June 17, 2014 and SA on June 18, 2014 and now the file has been sent to New Delhi for further processing.

Online status says the application received on April 24 and the medicals have been received.

Could someone here advise what the further course of action is?

They might or might not issue you AOR2. You don't have to worry about. Now the waiting game starts. Next thing will be passport request (PPR) that you will get close to your file processing time i.e. 8-9 months from now.

You will only be getting one UCI/Application number, which can be used by both of you. As far as wait is concerned, it's just beyond our control but is surely very very annoying. Just try to keep yourself busy and stay positive.
