Do we need to fill out that info about applicant sponcer height eye color etc mentioned in email sent for PPR
And also do they need any stamp on back of photographs?? Like the day pin was taken

Hi Everyone,

I am applying for a TRV to meet my spouse, for 5 weeks.

On form IMM5257E, what should I put as the purpose of my visit to Canada?
There is a dropdown menu and I can't decide whether to put
"Tourism" or "other" ??? ??? ??? ???
(and then in the details box, put, "family/husband visit while awaiting outland PR")

Please suggest! Thank you!

have you applied for PR already?

If so, i would put "Other" - visiting my spouse while waiting for PR Outland. Make sure you send copies of airline ticket or atleast a intent to return at the end of the trip...

getting TRV is difficult, but certainly worth a shot - few people have got trv also....

Yes I have applied for PR already. Awaiting spouse sponsorship approval (around 22nd Nov 14) and will apply for TRV after attaching that letter with application.
I have made the application water-tight. Put 3 contracts obligations for me to return to India along with airline tickets and visitor insurance for the duration of my stay in canada.

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and pray real hard! ;D

People on the interview queue is usually in AR or AR/MR!

The above statement coming from an expert made me worry even more as ours is stil AR and MR, and don't want to be in an interview queue. But, we ALL wouldn't mind at all to be in the visa queue.

I had a question . We just got SA on OCT 30 and application was received by Mississauga on Sep 16.

ECAS displays :
1."Application received on Sept 16 "
2: Medicals received

Will there be a status update when the file is received at NDVO?

AND after application transferred to ndvo it takes min three months to change the status to IP. AS ITS GOING ON THESE DAYS.....SOME APPLICANTS THOSE WHO SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATION IN MISSISSAUGA IN MAY JUST RECEIVED IP status....So ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR TURN....

Hello - I have the same question. Someone received my application at CiC Mississauga on Sep 11th per Canada Post tracking. I got approved on October 28 (received letter) and file transferred to NDVO.

Will we receive something from NDVO now or what are the next steps?

sorry guys....i should have been more specific....

Guys on interview queue have their status as "AR/MR" but NOT all AR/MR are on Interview queue list..

Everybody is on AR/MR - ADRs, Interviews document form issues and medical issues etc....once the issue is sorted they move to IP and DM..

Further, there are some cases which are not in any of these issues but still on AR/MR - everytime you do mp enquiry they say - file is pending initial review...about 10% of the cases...no idea why

so if you are on AR/MR being JAN - MAR applicants, i would say it is good to do MP Enquiry.
