Hey Guys,

Super happy to know March has started, they seem to be picking up speed and lets hope it stays like that. :) :) :)

I am a April 3rd applicant and I have a question. After I applied for my Permanent Residence I put in my resignation at my job and have traveled outside of India. Is it necessary to update the forms in such a case? Do we send the updated forms to NDVO? Also, will this affect my timeline in any way?

I don't understand this why are they giving all of us hope by giving IP when thr seems to be more waiting after IP. IP sabka kar rahe par 2013 aur start of 2014 applicants ki processing IP ke baad kyun nahi hil rahi....and many are even stuck even after DM unko PPRs nahi aya...what is happening....

100% agree with u.
it seems like they are just opening files; updating ecas and then nothing

I think I have an answer to this one. I have applied GCMS notes for myself quite a few times when I applied my PR application under the Quebec Skilled worker class. This time I am sponsoring my wife so I am repeating the same process yet again. Ok so back to the main point, Our files have to pass 4 different categories, namely the medical, security, criminality and eligibility. I am sure most of the people are already aware about it. Medicals are checked first since the medical reports are being sent at the same time as the application. Then comes the eligibility, where they check the genuineness of a marriage. Once they are fully convinced, they pass the eligibility category as well after which our online status goes In Process. So basically, the applications have passed only the medical and eligibility. The files are now undergoing the security/criminality checks and the time duration for that depends on case to case for example, number of countries visited, any crimes committed blaah blaah..and these checks are done in a group. Several applications have been assigned in an group so all those applications follow each other at the same time. Some time they give these files to an agency who does the background checks. So once, we pass the security/criminality, application files will be forwarded to the final decision making officers and we'll get a status update as decision made (on e-cas) once they approve the files.

Hope this make sense...

Cheers.

Lolzzz Chris,
Please dont scare the new comers...especially when we also really want them to be with us...lol...and apparently according to rumors this winter is not going to be as bad as last years....by luck I wasnt in Canada to experience that but I heard it was really the worst of all....either way if not this winter than next eventually they all will have to also get used to it... :)

Thanks for the information good to know all this. I actually wasnt aware of this in this much detail. Despite your explanation I am saying this because last year one of my friends who applied right after IP within two weeks she got DM. And right now majority of Jan and Feb applicants status on this forum is IP....and some Jan applicants are IP for more than 25 days now. So it doesnt make sense for them to proceed ahead without clearing us. But thanks for giving a new perspective on things.

Yea I kind of figured that. We are still not on the last phase of our process..we will get PPR after NDVO makes a decision on our case. So PPR will still take some time.
