Today its my 15th day still the application status is IP phase.I am Jan 7th applicant.
No idea when will the status change to DM? My Medicals will expire on Sept18th.
Really worried and frustrated

Thanks for starting this thread.

I have applied for my PR in the first week of May from Canada. My husband is a PR of Canada. I stay in New Delhi and I have received the confirmation letter/AOR from CIC for my application last month. I had applied for the tourist visa but unfortunately it got refused.

I want to know that how much time it will take to get the passport request and other formalities...


Please help.

It will take more 5 to 6 months on an average basis for your visa...

NDVO folks are sleeping on our files... me too hoping to see my husband before our wedding anniversary...

Canadian Family Sponsor - Spousal Visa

- After file submitted : CIC-M will send you email to sponsor ( Canadian person only ) called 1st AOR - will stated that application has been received. ( This email comes between 28 to 56 days which varies according CIC processing time listed on website once file submitted). It come via mostly email or hardly in regular mail.

- Then, CIC-M will send Sponsorship Approval ( SA ) letter to Sponsor ( Canadian person ) mostly nowadays comes in Mail on different situation like :
a) SA letter might come with 1st AOR email itself. OR
b) SA letter come after 1 to 17 days once 1st AOR email received.
AND
that the File Transfer Date to New Delhi. ( For correct information : that how the actual processing time counted from file transfer day)


NOW MOSTLY NO FURTHER EMAILS WILL GET TO CANADIAN SPONSOR...AS SPONSOR TASK COMPLETED AND DECISION MADE :- SPONSOR IS CAPABLE TO SPONSOR HIS/HER SPOUSE ALSO ANY ONE CAN CHECK ECASE WITH OWN LOGIN AND IT DETAILS.


NOW ONWARD COUNTRY'S RESIDENCE (INDIA) - APPLICANT / SPONSORED WILL GET EMAILS REGARDING FURTHER UPDATE OR APPLICATION REVIEW.

Applicant (Indian person) might get new email/ mail from NDVO ( New Delhi Visa Office ) that called 2nd AOR for:

- If applicant have not attached original PCC or not paid Right of Permanent Residence fee or Landing Fee or any documents missing / Nowadays this requesting email is getting to all though one had attached PCC and Fee receipt in original file submission ( generic one can say).
- "If" applicant get schedule Interview then one will get email with all details ( Interview is not mandatory - Visa Officer decide to whom need to give ).
- ECAS : Status goes " In Process " .
- Then ECAS Status goes " Decision Made " .
- Passport Request : Nowadays from this year mostly passport request will not get in early stage. At end they will ask PPR after DM that recent trend sows.
- Passport received with Visa Stamp --> YOU CAN FLY FOR YOU LOVE ONE.

Seriously why the hell they reject the tourist visa . Even my visa got rejected too

I have a question... you all applied for visiting visa after PR..

But in my case i applied for TRV before PR and it too got rejected.. does this makes any difference or is this can lead to interview..

There is a question in the forms related to that i think in a hurry i marked that red flag qus as no that i have never refused TRV... but in out letter we mentioned about TRV and all other details.. even we attached rejection letter too..

So can anyone suggest do they take it as false rep as i said no as the answer to the question or they consider my letter n expalantion for TRV as full disclosure...

Procedure is correct.. the problem is with the NDVO folks who are lazy butts..

If they follow their procedure and timelines and process every cases in a timely manner then this delays would never happen...


Above all of that strikes and their lazy behavious messed up everything...
