I think who ever expecting PPR, (sep,oct,nov applicants) it is better to take recent photos as per the instructions in the PPR mail.

If you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (“CPC-O”). You are required to send your passport(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address.

Why does the letter say "plan to be in Canada for at least three months"?

Why exactly do they want the applicant to stay in Canada for 3 months? Getting a PR card only takes about a month and a half, right? I think last I checked, the processing time was 41 days.

If you just for DM last Friday then its still early. People are getting the PPR in a week to 10 days.

Why does the letter say "plan to be in Canada for at least three months"?

Why exactly do they want the applicant to stay in Canada for 3 months? Getting a PR card only takes about a month and a half, right? I think last I checked, the processing time was 41 days.

I believe they mean applicant who are already in Canada on a TRV and plan to stay in Canada for three months or more - then you have an option to submit the passport here. Did you mean why the applicant have to stay after landing? if yes then the applicant doesnt have to stay/

Sorry, haven't had my morning caffeine yet, lol.

I meant before landing...why do they want you to stay on the TRV for 3 months? Is it just a safety margin for processing time?

I believe its just to ensure you the applicant is in the country and I would presume so they dont have to connect with the visa office

thank you for your answer . Should I wait for cic to send the Ppr and then I will inform them or should I inform CIC right away . My wife is 3 months pregnant now .

According to AOR2 it tells us that if any changes in your marital status please notify. So my advise, if i were you i would do it right away. DELHIIMMIGRATION%40international.gc.ca

Congrats ypra! Were you in Canada or changed your address on file to a Canadian address when you received PPR? Or, is NDVO is adding point#4 about mailing passport to CPP-O to all applicants? Thanks.
