Hey,

You should definitely order the notes and do a MP inquiry. Sept/Oct applicants are getting re-medicals at this point and still wait DM/PPR request.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I'm not similar with the terms but what do you mean by "order the notes"? What is DM/PPR request?

One thing that seems to be weird in my case is the "In Process Date" compared to others in the Excel sheet. My wife's "In Process Date" in ECAS is same as the date the application moved from CIC Mississauga to New Delhi VO. Where I can see the updated "In Process Date"?

Hi there

From what i read from form Q6e is that they asked for "refused admission to" They didn't ask for refusal of trv. Persaon can get TRV and still refuse admission to Canada.
These two are different points.
I don't know why cic is asking this q to you because its irrelevant
You can challenge the wording on this questions to them.

Good Luck :-)

Hi, Its is not irrelevant, on the form CIC clearly asking if you ever refused for TRV/visitor. it is when you are applying TRV and got rejection. Admission is a different point, if you read carefully the IMM 5669. Refusal to TRV/Visitor visa and admission to Canada both are separate points.

Hi,
DM --> Decision Made
PPR --> Passport requested

On 9th Oct, 2015, CIC almost marked everyone's application as "In Process" from the date file was transferred to Delhi Office. The best is you should apply GCMS notes ASAP and do a MP enquiry.

Thanks. As I live in Canada, the best way to apply for "GCMS notes" is via CIC site, is it? Or, what is the best way to apply for one?

Yes apply through CIC website.. there are spammers too avoid those

I got the following information from one of the existing post:--

What is GCMS notes? How can I apply for one and what is the purpose of it?
It's better to apply once NDVO touches your file. Eg. Now NDVO is processing Oct/Nov 2014 files. The purpose is to check on the status of your spous's application. You should definately apply for the GCMS notes now.

Adivced to apply early if your Sponsorship approval is delayed..... and you need to request info about the sponsor and sponsorship.

How to apply GCMS / ATIP notes.

Only a person who is in Canada can request the notes.
If principal applicant is in Canada, he/she can request for himself and apply for free under Privacy Act.

If sponsor is requesting it on behalf of Principal applicant, you need consent form from PA and $5 fee. You can receive consent form from spouse thru email and upload it. Apply under Access to Information Act.

It takes about 30 days to receive by email. It is a ~30 pages document

Thanks pgu! My Oct 1, 2014 application moved from "Application Received" to "In Process" at least since Sep 21, 2015 but still the ecas said application is being processed in NDVO since Jan 21, 2015. Since it is about a month (minimum) since the application status changed to "In Process" I'm hoping we will get re-medical request or DM soon. Since my wife was working in US at the time of the application (and for 2 yrs prior to the application) and currently in Canada as a visitor, I'm hoping they wouldn't ask for re-medicals. If in case, we get DM without re-medicals do you know whether she has to go to India to submit her passport or it can be done from Canada via courier?

THANK YOU sunny6359 for adding it on excel spread sheet.
no i havent received any updates. NO remedicals , no decision made or no interview updates.
I am so confused.

Hi Orchid14,

Does the applicant have any travel history? It takes longer to process criminal and background checks if there's any history of travel.
Hi mateen_ aka
its a clean straight forward case... With travel history less than 6 months. But still this wait prolongs.

Don't forget to exercise your right to vote today and throw conservatives out of power.

Indeed... time for change. I believe liberals are ahead in Atlantic Canada and hope it's same everywhere i.e. conservatives out of power. I casted that important ballot of mine. Was so simple and flawless process. Compare it with what I saw in India last year.... :o

Hope you too voted Fiza.

And liberals are coming to power with full majority. Finally an end of Bad government of Conservatives

Good luck to liberals and hope they keep up with their promise of easing out immigration.

For conservatives: good riddance and never come back to power >:(

That 6 months still might cause the wait. On my hand, my wife did her studies in India for 3 years. Have you ordered your notes since in process?

Just a update for everyone. Liberals are the winning the polls!
