Congrats to both of you. we got our IP as well on may 22, 2015. I have read that they process a bunch of application together from IP to DM. so, both of you please update constantly as it would help myself and anyone else who has gotten IP around the same time.

Will do!

Which Month is going now

Hello Forum Members

I was told by a friend regarding this site so below are my details.

Family New Delhi
App Filed Nov. 7/13
AOR Received Dec. 4/13
File Transfer Jan. 20/14
Interview Jan. 14/15
Visa Issued In Process since Jan. 14/15
Passport, remedicals and re pcc sent Jan 29/15 as requested by VO after interview.

Just an FYI anyone who is asked for remedicals after interview or from visa office best to wait for the form that they send as it has a code that the embassy already registers in their system. So when you get your emedical done it automatically gets uploaded to them. This was also mentioned by another forum member my bad forget who it was now. If you don't wait for the form and go ahead with submitting a new medical then they give you a brand new code and it doesn't get automatically updated in embassy system. They have to manually enter this code so it delays the process. Which was our case I found out through MP that it took 90 days from the date that we sent it for them to view it because we didn't wait for the form.

Thanks
Amana

PS I added my info in both 2013 and 2014 forums because we filed end of the year and didn't reach Delhi to new year so kind of in between :)

Hi,

Any one in this forum have done their re-medicals outside India.
If so could anyone please share the details regarding the procedure.

Hi I have one quick question could anyone please answer (its urgent).

I got re-medicals and I have an IME# mentioned in the email.
Do we need to do re-medicals against this IME#? Today I went to the Hospital the Doctor has done these medicals against a new UMI number.
(I did the re-medicals in Canada).

This is with regards to the SS application that I sent to CIC, got the last update from NDVO on April 16th 2015, that they have got the file and assigned a UCI number and also with the same file # as on the Sponsorship Approval. My wife is in Canada on a visit visa. She came to Canada (Regina, SK) on 30th of March 2015 as she got leave from Infosys for 90 days. She is planning to go back to India as her vacation would be done by June 22nd,2015. Not sure how long its going to take to get her PR approved, but we are going to miss each other very badly. Its been a year that we are married and we are not yet together forever. We also had plans to plan for kids, but waiting to get her PR done so that she can stay with me and I can spend every moment with her when she gets pregnant. Do you have any idea about approximately how long its taking for the files. I have checked the attached Excel files in the forums and have a quick question, how are those processing times calculated. File received coloumn, is it the date when CIC in Canada receieved the files or is it the date when NDVO in India got the files. Which month files are being processed currently ? I am not sure how its working, we went to Banff for a vacation during the long weekend and now she is planning to go back to India. Also heard from some of my friends that if the spouse is on a Visit Visa the processing time in India would be slow or the files are kept aside till they get back home (India), do you have any info on this situation ? Its costing us a lot of money for this visit and hope she gets her PR soon so that we can be together. Please advise and thanks so much for your help and advise.

Hi Cyechuri

Processing time (16 months) is calculated from the time the file reaches the visa office (Delhi). This is what I have been told by my MP.

Thanks
Amana

Got my Notes today and they haven't even touched the file except updating the line that they have received the updated medical email and a courier for communication proof.

Also noticed one more line added under the comment ******queued in for interview*************

Don't know when it will happen :(. Guess my OMG moment still away :( :(

I don't see anything on MP inquiry. Does that mean MP never submitted an inquiry?

Hi Fiza

Thats unfortunate, i really do not understand how CIC new delhi works, how can they trump other files randomly ,,,there seems to be no system ...or atleast a system that I dont understand...
When we did our mp inquiry it got updated in our notes... so maybe talk to your mp again. frankly i think notes are a much better way to go rather than an mp enquiry gives a more clear picture...plus my mp refuses to do enquiries expect every 3 months only...even though we are way past the avg processing times...

I do hope u hear some news soon and i hope i hear some news soon too...21 months this month....what a waste of the last 21 months of my life in all this crap....

An interesting article published in Toronto Star:

Canada takes a step back on immigration policy

Slow country and a useless immigration minister :-(

Just wondering by visiting the local office of CIC in your town (or in Toronto), will it help to get your hubby's pp back?
