It is great to see a lot of applicants have signed the petition. We are just short of 20 to reach our goal. I hope more people will join and our voice will be heard.

I know ehh. As soon as I shared it on the whatsapp group people started msging...Signed...Signed...Signed LOL a few had already done that since they are also part of this forum.

I think its a good idea to share it with family and friends as well (some people who's process have complete have also offered to sign for our pain and misery).

Hey Magicman, if you don't mind me asking this, just curious: if its your anniversary today (in May), how did you apply in April 2014 ? Did you apply before wedding itself without marriage cert? Or is it second anniversary?

I knew it!!! Some smarty-pants would notice the dates. I never doubted how clever people are on this forum. I thought about it while typing that this morning.

To answer your question: Actual engagement and wedding happened in June 2013 and registered in court as well. But because the wedding was completed in just a one of day based on the simplified traditions (and not the lengthy thing according to the Vedic Hindu traditions). Some family and relatives wanted the extra big wedding and that's what we did last year.

I submitted my file 8 months later because of many reasons: I travel for work, plus we were confused about going back in December and a part is me being lazy and these are only some reasons. So something must have made these sons of bit*ches think that this is a fake wedding or something.

As you wrote it though, it seems like a genuine turn of events. I'm sure they will see it they same way, soon enough. Hang in there!
