Really strange. Today I called the call center and funny situation; got a message "we are sorry. we cannot transfer your call to an agent at this moment. Please try again later". Was busy and hence could not call back. Will try tomorrow.

That just means there is too many people calling in and all the queue is filled up as well. try calling back. Considering the 4 day holiday, i am assuming a lot of people are trying to call in the check the status or get some questions answered and the call center is busy.

hi
Page 1 - sponorship (submit)
Page2- spouse or permanet (submit)
A page3- opens where u click check my status....
then you will go to the 4th page where your give uci no .... but instead of uci no .....give the file number of your spouse and then give surname or last name of your spouse as u mentioned in the application.... and also her dob and place of birth .... you will be able to access ecas..

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions about the forms

- Quite often I find that space is inadequate in the application forms, for example for background information about places lived, activities etc. Is it ok to attach extra sheets of paper and just write "Please see attached document for details" in the form ?

- Regarding education I have a Masters Degree and the form asks how many years, does that mean total number of years studying or just for my Masters Degree

Also, for the photos and supporting documents how would you recommend to organize the file. From what I have seen photos have to be loose and not in a file

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I see that most of you are worried because you ppl are not able to access your ecas....

Note: as the sponsorship is approved you will not be able to open ecas with sponsors details. Hence you need to use your spouse's details.

Page 1 select the sponsorship from dropdown box
submit
page 2 select spouse or permanent judicial partner
submit
page 3 checkin the box and select continue or check application status.
Page4 : uci / identification no ( select file no in drop box)- give file no of your spouse( not uci no) file no generally starts with an alphabet.
last name or surname : spouse last name as mentioned in application.
Dob: spouse date of birth as per application.
Place of birth: spouse place of birth as per application.

Click on continue

You'll be now able to access your ecas.. with principal applicant details...

Hope this info helps..

Hey Guys

when they request for visa once the pr is approved do they ask the person who is being sponsored or the applicant? I applied through a consultant and she is not helpful at all. I am not sure that maybe the passport was requested and shes not telling me. So i just want to confirm, my husband is in india will he be contacted or my consultant who is in canada?

Thanks

My wife too is unable to access ecas based on her file number. She and my self were able to access the details until Thursday based on her file number and my UCI number respectively. Hope this helps. In case there is any other unknown tweak please share it with us.

I think they are making some updates on your file buggle boy. Lets hope for the good news......... You are just in there......be positive......

I cant access ecas either to view my husbands file status based on UCID. does that mean they are working on everyone's file or the ecas is down

GOK- God Only Knows :-)... it's strange that we are unable to see and I am leaning on the fact that they are probably working on pending cases... Will be calling call center today to see if they have any updates and will post it here.

I contacted the call center and the agent said that she would refer me to their webmaster/online team as she cannot answer why the details have disappeared or why we are not able to see the details. She agreed that we should have been seeing and she is not sure as to why it has disappeared besides she told me that these kind of questions are best to be checked with online team. Hope that helps and clears the confusion around.
