No, we are from New Delhi. That's the reason I am asking because we are local and should receive the earliest. Hope, I get the good news today that she received her passport.

unless if you are using a lawyer, I don't see any reason for NDVO not to call you/your wife and ask to pick up passport and that would have saved money for NDVO and time...you are right, it should not be taking this long for local delivery but unless Modi personally intervenes Indian postal system will take its own time..

still here..not going anywhere until I hit 2000th post (even if it takes one year to get there) or the last applicant of Dec 2013 gets his/her visa (which might take 4 months) whichever comes first....few pages ago ( which lovely staff of Canada immigration forum promptly deleted) someone who was actively involved in the racism discussion asked me why I was still hanging around in ND forum instead of looking for a job. To which I asked why people don't like me in this forum and was it due to racism against people from mars or discrimination because of my green skin color...that was my last post which was deleted by Cohen....6 pack suitcases? full of gold bars?

Ha ha ha ha!!!! In my case everything was straight forward. We didn't use any lawyer or etc. i just hope she receives her passport today. It's been so long now..

2 months are very long time. ..asked ur MP once again I know MP's didn't like to being disturbed all d time. ..but I m sure it will ur last conversation with MP. ..

Hi, I applied to sponsor my wife in November 2012. Recently, my wife got her application Decision Made on June 21st, 2014. But, she haven't received her passport as of yet. Does, anyone know how long does it take to get the passport.?

Because I have seen lots of people here posting that they received there passports within a week after the DM. Any experts here who can answer my question. Please!

First of all congrats for DM, You really went through a long wait process, Usually it takes about 7-11 days from the date they mail it out and also depending on your location.

So its not necessary that the mailed out ur passport on the same day as DM. sometimes they send it after 3-4 days ... So I would suggest wait for a week....

I'm a Nov 6 2013 Applicant,
We married in New Delhi and then we have submitted all the necessary docs along with the application by consulting of s lawyer in Canada, then NDVO request for my passport and yet there is no news and updates!!
it shows like this:
1-We received your application for permanent residence on November 6, 2013.
2-Medical results have been received.
Good to be mentioned again that our application was complete, Fee paid, MR done, Pics an prove of marriage was added....
so what do you think friends?
when would be my turn to write a big omg...?
