My wife has already paid the fees and submitted the police clearance certificate at the time of application in canada.
now my doubt is that do i have to send all this documents again and how long it will take further when i get my passport request because in feb my application status showed decision made and my wife got the mail from canada immigration stating that she has been approved to sponsor.
please help.
Thnx guys for ur prompt response.should I send them mail stating that my documents are already submitted at Mississauga office or tell my wife to contact them.i am bit shocked that they haven't asked for my passport yet
In your case Wife is the Sponsor and Husband is the applicant. Once application is filed at Canada Immigration Office Mississauga scrutinize and take the decision on the Sponsorship. They have approved it and send the file of the applicant to the concerned VISA OFFICE. In your case as you are in India visa office is NEW DELHI VISA OFFICE (NDVO). This is the Stage ONE
The visa processing is done at NEW DELHI. On receipt of the file immediately they create file allot the number and send the mail a part of it reading "We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada and have created a file
with the file number indicated above. Please quote this file number in all future correspondence
with our office." Additionally they ask the details on PCC and Fee receipt submission status."
You send a letter to NDVO with the 1. photo copy of the Fee receipt /2. photocopy PCC of the applicants (PCC from countries stayed more than six month by the applicant) along with the print out of the letter you received to NDVO quoting the file number"
You will get a request for Passport from them subsequently as they process your file. Now you are in the waiting game. The stage two process is now on fro Jun / July applicants. You can take a view in the matter.
However If yours is to Quebec province then the sponsor has to apply for CSQ certificate which generally comes in 30 days This document is necessary to land in Quebec.
Your sponsor might have received the first letter where in they would have said a " This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2013/xx/xx on behalf of the following member(s): NAME " This is date of application.
You can enter your timeline in 2013 spreadsheet.
