who said or where did u read abt 3 months extension of medicals to what I know max 4 weeks is what they can extend or what they generally extend ? thx

A few days ago, 2 forum members were discussing that their medicals were expiring 3 months after they had had them done. They found this through their GCMS notes.

Hey guys I m new here

Medical Done: July. 20th 2013
Application received by CIC Canada: June 20th 2013
Sponsorship Application Approval from Canada: Aug. 26th 2013
PPR Requested: Sep. 12th 2013

Till now there is no update on my E-cas

Can someone help me by telling what can cause the delay in my application process?

I m seeing many June applicants receiving medicals but seems no luck as for me

Welcome to the waiting club where you are sure to never be bored :D
NDVO works on the applications out of order so they might take a few days to a few weeks to get to your file. DOn't worry yet as you will know where your file is as you have already applied for your GCMS notes.
Hopefully you wont be sticking around for long ;)
All the best!

Hey guys,

My application received date is July 21, but due to a signature problem my file transfer date was delayed to Sep 13

I was wondering which date the NDVO folks care about, I was thinking that they work in order of the file transfer date and not the application received date, but I hope they go in order of the application received date.

So if anyone can tell me which date NDVO starts processing files by that would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully it is the application received date, and that would mean I am almost there.

Unfortunately, I think that they work in order of the file transfer date. I picture them to group and pile the files according to when it comes through in the mail.

Hey guys!!
After how many months case goes from "Application Received " to in Process?

Depends from individual application to application and the Officer going through them. If its a straight forward case, IP will be faster than one that has to be flagged for interview or is a complex case.

Thank you for the information GetmeVisa, from the looks of it they will not ask me to do the re-PCC as the time for it is gone now. I have ordered GCM notes and should be getting next week. Hey I just want to contact NDVO to get some information why it is taking so long to issue the visa and that the officer told us to do the medical and should get the visa in 3 weeks.

Hey guys should I make an inquiry for my wife visa to NDVO or not?

Yes, there is no harm in inquiring about your wife's file. Maybe they will work faster if you send them case specific inquiries every day. Hopefully, they will get irritated and send your wife's visa ASAP ;D

Hey Guys,

Is there any harm applying for GCMS notes now?
App. Filed.......: 10/25/2013
Doc's Request.: 11/18/2013 (due to signature missing)/resent on 11/29/2013
AOR Received.: 12/24/2013
File Transfer...: 01/07/2013

I think its too early. Your file wouldn't have been looked at. The only update would be that your passport has been received.

hopefully they will complete all june applicants by end of this month. NDVO might start working on july applicants by first week of March. Lets hope for that. :D just be patient for sometimes. :) you can put your timeline on the left now because its already 10 posts for you now. :)

validity is blank

your original medical is expiring in April; usually, they will schedule your interview a month before your medicals expire and can do one of three things - extend your medicals or ask you if you would be able to leave before your medicals expire or very unlikely ask you to redo your medicals (depends on how delayed your interview date is). I bet before the end of this month, you will hear about your interview date. Worst case scenario is interview date is two weeks after medicals expiry date; they can still extend the medicals even after that...so just be patient (easier said than done..I know) till you hear from the almighty NDVO

application received -last week of july 2013
passport received - 3rd week of october 2013
medical expired- 3rd week of march 2013

medical results are valid for 1 year..did you do medicals in march 2012 or in 2013? if it is march 2013 then your medicals expire in march 2014.....

Thank you. If you dont know how to put your timeline on the left side like mine, just go to your profile on the top right side and you will see forum profile information on the left side. Then click it and put your details there. Its simple. :D
