you get chocolates anywhere ..it is the laddu and jamuns that are exotic for you and customs officials in canada...if they ask too many questions about the jewelry that are in the carry on luggage, offer them some sticky sesame sweets for them to chew and they won't ask questions

Well in other words "Here in NDVO we don't work that often and we are also very lazy to tell you to send in your medical or other documents. Best advice for you will be to send all the information and even your medical. And don't worry when the time will come to issue the visa you need to re-do the medical again. Don't ask us why as our job is to just update the information on the web site and we don't even check it at the interview if your medical or PCC is expired. We love to torture you guys as we don't have a life as well in short enjoy our torture and don't contact us by phone, email, and fax. We will not communicate with you and we will not co-operate with you have a super sucky day"

as an ND visa officer you expect me to type all these words in our notice? it is too much of work...

Hey myrah first of all many many congratulation for ur visa. I am May 31 2013 applicant and the status shows application and medical have been received only. I would like to request you to add me in your spreadsheet, so that I can see what is going on in it. In addition, I am also worrying a bit that most of the May applicant got their DM and Some of them did not get even IP yet.In addition, I had also applied one time GCMS note and it say nothing much in Notes they have put it in and Also I have applied for second one. Therefore, Plz Plz guide me regarding my application process and stuff. Thank you

Hello all,
my application PR under spouse category was submitted on June18. i got a PPR request in august and then nothing till now like all application in June My question is regarding Medical. I havnt done my medicals yet.

is there anyone here who still havnt done medicals yet? i have already submitted the passport. Can i do my medicals without it ?

please advise.

Hi John,

This is from cic website. There is also item in check list to include medicals of Principal Applicant and dependents if any. You dont need a letter from cic to do upfront medicals . You just needed an appointment with panel doctor with a proof of copy of PR card of your spouse and passport copies. now ur application wil be delayed. they have to see urs and find out medicals missing then they have to send ur passport by the time they check again it'll be precious time wasted.

There are two ways you can have an immigration medical exam, depending on your immigration category

Wait for instructions once you have submitted your application
Instructions issued by CIC:

You will be instructed to go for a medical exam within 60 days of receiving the notice.

Instructions issued by Border Services Officer:

If you make a refugee claim at a port of entry, a Border Services Officer will instruct you to get a medical exam within 30 days.

Note: Failure to follow these instructions may result in your application being refused.

Undergo your exam before you submit your application (Only for certain Family Class applicants)
This is called an up front medical exam.

You can contact a panel physician directly to get your medical exam if you apply under one of the following categories:

Family Class: Spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner
Family Class: Dependent children of the sponsor or the sponsor’s spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner
Once your medical exam has been completed, the doctor will give you a document confirming that you underwent a medical exam. You must include a copy of that document with your application.

If the doctor works with the eMedical electronic system:

they will give you an up-front medical notification printout.
If the doctor works with a paper system:

they will give you a copy of the IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form.
You must attach that form to your application before you submit it to the visa office. If you apply online, you must upload that form before you can submit your application.

Hey Myrah , congrats on ppr..... So happpy for u.... Good luck for ur trip....
Just have a question..... Do u know how long its gonna take after status goes into DM..... And are they gonna send passport or gonna send any kinda letter before they send it.....?

thx u so much dear.....once u get dm within a week u shld get the pp back with visa....last week we noticed that pp has already been dispatched and then later comes dm after few days for eg...I got a call on 15th jan saying my visa has been issued and its getting dispatched 16th jan....and I got dm only on 19th jan and got visa on 20th jan after dm straight comes the pp no letter no email....u just have to wait for postman to come !!

Just received a call from my MP and he said that my application has not even been touched yet I guess they are working on getting the January - May applications finished.
