What is the time stamp on generated GCMS notes? Ex. If I request for GCMS on 10 Jan I believe I will receive it on 10 Feb. But are the notes generated on 8/9/10 Feb or somewhere in Jan?

And a case update from my side....

After I sent my PP thru a friend from US to India, my sister posted it to Delhi & it reached on 17th Dec.
I gave her address as my contact address for PP to be sent back along with a signed consent form.
Today i.e 9th Jan arnd 4 PM IST, my sister received a call from CHC Delhi and was asked few questions like
If she is a sister of mine, and when was the last time I was in India and when did I leave again and that is it.... (Nthng abt addr confirmation or case status, My ecas still shows IP)
My poor sis immediately called me and informed this, and is worried whether she has properly talked or not... I asked her to relax and said she's fine and did grt in answering those...
But now I am wondering what tht starnge call was about...
And othr thing tht concerns me is the entire nxt week my sis n her family will be outta town and the house will be locked., Considering things move qwik and what if the PP comes during tht week..
I dont want it to be returned to delhi ...
Any suggestions/ideas abt this friends...like handling the postman or postmastrer or visiting post office and somehow asking them to hold it with them?

Hahaha lol... yeah maybe I confused it. I am not that great in Geography/Environmental sciences...lol. But I thought they said Calgary on the news.. Anyways, I am sure you would know better since you live there. Its still cold anyways compared to India.

hahahahahaha trying to scare people away from Calgary eh (remember you must say "eh" after every sentence, because, Canadian eh) I blame Winnipeg for this Compared to India, I guess it's cold, totally opposite spectrum, +30 in India, -30 here (but only happens once in a while and doesn't last long). It's going to be +3 today and +7 tomorrow, and this is in the middle of winter, so it really isn't as cold as people make it out to be

For those getting PP's back, are they sending via regular post? no signature taken by postman?
Our PP had come back in May, 2013 and that time it was registered post to Mumbai

Robin, they were probalby just confirming to make sure the story checks out, nothing to worry about. Since a PP is the most legal document you possess it's just a standard procedure.

If, you are requesting for the PP to be returned before DM and re-submitting it again at a later time then my GUESS is that they would just return it to the given address without confirmation.

If you are submitting as part of the 'waiting for DM' process then you will only received it after ECAS updates to DM. They might or might not call you to verify address. My wife for example got her passport via registered post yesterday without any confirmation.

Not sure how it works in India, but in Canada you can put a request at the post office to hold your mail for a given duration. I'm sure if you have someone visit your local post office and enquire they can make some sort of provision for you... might have to spend some $$$ i mean Rs. Rs. Rs but sure if they are honest they will just do it for you.
