Excel update please:

Received AOR/Passport request from New Delhi: July 19, 2013.
Right after we send in the applications, I am tempted to try visitor visa application.

I still have to send them the CSQ and that would be hopefully soon.

Thanks,

we tried TRV but rejected

Truly appreciate the person who started this thread and folks who been contributing to it as well. Very nice work.

CIC Website says it was last updated on July 24 and Processing apps recieved on June 25.
I see it in here one of the threads that Mississauga office is working.
We filed our application on July 17th and it was delivered on 18th.
Still not able to track it in CIC website.. Any inputs pls?

Thanks.

Under Eligibility section, the status is Recommend Passed ,
also under Notes section it is mentioned ** Interview waiver recommended** The PA and sponsor are compatible .The relationship appears to be genuine. File sent to officer for review.

Please share the progress on your file tomorrow. All the very best.
Hi,
I got my 2nd GCMS notes today. Not much changes compared to my 1st notes. Changes are as below,
Eligibility status changed from, "Not Started" to "Recommend Passed". Also in the notes section it is mentioned as below:
*****RECOMMENDED FOR REVIEW***** <followed by some personal info.. > PA & Sponsor are compatible in all aspects. The wedding was performed in accordance with cultural norms. Relationship appears to be genuine. Interview waiver recommended. File sent to officer for review.
***************************

Below is the summary of my overall status:
1. Eligibility - Recommend Passed
2. Security - Not started
3. Criminality - Not Started
4. Medical - Passed

Planning to apply for another GCMS request after 19th of this month. As my file was transfered on 19th Feb to New Delhi office. And I saw some updates being done on 19th June. So I guess every month 19th might be the due date / checkpoint date for activites on my file. I may be wrong.. its just a guess.
Currently I am at my work. After my work, I will go through further details of the report and will let you guys know if any significant information.

You are right about due date which is usually associated with the date when file is transfered.

Visa officers’ strike in Canada to hit Indian students

Canada may have issued a record number of visas to Indians, but the figures could dwindle due to an ongoing strike of visa officers since April. With India being home to Canada’s largest overseas visa office, the strike by a union of Canadian foreign service officers may affect the plans
of thousands of Indian students Chrystiane Roy, an Ottawa-based spokesperson for the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers(PAFSO) said, “In Delhi, all Foreign Service officers have at one time or other since June 6 withdrawn services.”

The Canadian government maintains its facilities are open for business. Nancy Caron, a spokesperson for Citizenship and Immigration Canada, said, “CIC is closely monitoring the situation. All visa offices, including the one in Delhi, remain open and continue to provide service to clients. Every visa office maintains a core number of staff that has been deemed ‘essential’.”

While the extent of delays is unclear, PAFSO has claimed that these are fairly significant. Roy said visa issuance “dropped by nearly 25%” over the month of June and that the drop was “especially severe in largest centers such as Canadian missions in India, where services have been withdrawn, at 60 – 65 per cent.”

While not commenting on the figures provided by PAFSO, the CIC spokesperson stated the department was “providing training on an urgent basis so that more staff can process applications”. It is also moving more work to Canada and to offices at other centers with additional capacity. But Caron did have some advice for visa-seekers: “Anyone applying for a visa should submit their application as far in advance as possible.”

She also urged them to submit temporary visa applications online and to use Visa Application Centres or VACs. Canada has a network of 80 such VACs in 55 countries, including centers in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.

PAFSO began the strike on April 2, protesting what it described as a wage gap compared to other federal officers. Work-to-rule followed a week later. Officers at missions around the world have withdrawn various services; in India, immigration services have been withdrawn in Delhi and Chandigarh.

It was in lazimpat before. Now it is inactive. I have heard it is moved to new building- beside Ace travels or somewhere there near Narayanhiti Palace south gate

They are stii asking people to submit their passports but why are we not seeing any prv I don't understand.

Because that's the leverage they have against Tony Clement and this idiotic government, this is how PAFSO can hurt all of us including the government by not issuing visas but still wear the shroud that "We are working Minister, look at the new Passport requests, file transfers and applications that we received in our visa offices"

This is basically scumbag tactics to get the other party to give up, both sides are playing hardball.... and understandably so everyone bargains for money, nobody cares about immigrant lives.

It's very simple, the majority of immigrants are non-white, if immigration to Canada was predominantly from European countries, this issue would have been resolved a long time ago.
